We know there will be another Xbox system

We don't really know that though, as it's still a question mark as to whether the successor to the series will actually come to fruition.

Microsoft already confirmed it.

Microsoft already confirmed it.

They confirmed their intention, but they could still decide to cancel it before it actually makes it to release.

A leak of a project in development doesn't confirm it will make it to market.

If SEGA had trillions of dollars from a main company I am sure they would still be making another go at consoles. Xbox has spent billions and not made it back but they spent chump change in 70 billion to MS where most companies are never worth 70 billion. Revenue is down. Hardware sales are down. Xbox has done nothing but losing money since 2001. Why MS continues I don't know but without MS wallet the Xbox division goes down with the very first console that lost them billions. Even if they somehow made it to 360, it lose billions on RROD alone let alone hardware costs. Xbox is laying off thousands upon thousands. Replacing people with AI. Releasing broken games. The worst CoD. MS are the kings of slamming their dick in the door since 2013. Last few years Sony has drowned in a 1 inch puddle. Put Phil and Booty in charge of SEGA of the 90s and they would have sunk faster without the quality games SEGA was known for.

If the project is in development, and we have quite a bit of information about it already, what makes you think it will be suddenly cancelled?

If it's because of Series X sales, remember what happened with the Wii U.

In fact, the same thing that happened with Nintendo between 2013-2016 is happening now to Xbox. Let's not jump to conclusions.

I'm not saying it will be cancelled, I am saying it is possible it will be; the memory crunch may make a high end system simply untenable for the foreseeable future as it would cost so much to make it would bleed money.

Microsoft have clearly shown for the past year that they have very little interest in selling consoles any more, so it's not hard to see that they may be unwilling to lose money on another system.

Wanna make a bet?

I Bet until the end of this year, Microsoft will CONFIRM the next Xbox will release. If you think they won't, and accept the bet, you can choose what the loser will have to do. Just for fun.

Thanks but no thanks, I only bet when I think it's a sure thing or close to it, whereas I'd say it's more like 60/40 that Magnus makes it to market.
