I don’t buy trailer/marketing, so just cautiously wait for reviews and players’ word of mouth.

I don't know. Having been a Playstation guy I have no connection to the franchise at all, I just know it's an RPG of some kind.
There's the usual political stench lingering around this game as well, but even if I were to look past that, I don't know.
I like my RPGs fairly serious (japanese ones get some leeway) and I'm worried this might be too goofy for me. Or the battle mechanics are over the top and easily breakable so that everything becomes a meaningless mess.
We'll have to see.
