It might have a million or so left in the tank in Japan before it's discontinued. It will fall about a million or so short of 40 million in Japan, maybe more.

I'd predict it'll finish up at 37.9m, which is decidedly less than 40m, so no, it won't.

Nintendo Switch indeed faced shortages in Japan lately.
With Nintendo restocking the "expensive" oled form last week , not the affordable lite yet which had been the best selling one for several weeks recently.
Will it bounce back too in the current week?.
Another close to 30k units selling week for such an aged console?
