Forums - Sales - PS5 breaks European November Sales Record.

Tagged games:

With the VGChartz estimates for Europe on the front page, PS5 has broken the all-time record for this month in Europe which was previously held by the PS5's sales last year.

The highest european november sales for each system tracked by VGChartz is as follows.

PS5 - 2.07m (2025)
NDS - 1.56m (2008)
PS4 - 1.28m (2015)
Wii - 1.05m (2008)
Switch - 1.03m (2021)
PS3 - 0.72m (2009)
X360 - 0.66m (2008)
3DS - 0.55m (2013)
XBO - 0.50m (2014)
XBS - 0.49m (2020)
Switch 2 - 0.45m (2025)
PSP - 0.36m (2005)
Vita - 0.15m (2012)
WiiU - 0.13m (2014)

This is not the all-time record for a European Month however as both DS and Wii had bigger Decembers than 2.07m. The December record is 3.0m for the DS in 2007.

Very big contrast with USA.
Breaking records on EU, some of the lowest sales in years for the USA.

Yes it's a crazy difference. The last time PlayStation sold worse in USA November was PS3 in 2012, and OFC we know it's the worst for console hardware as a whole since 1995. Meanwhile EU is record breaking.

I wonder how much it sold in RoW, here in Brazil it was selling like crazy during the Black Friday week.

Incredible numbers for the PS5.

Also, shouldn't Switch 2 at 447.5k reside at number 10 on that list after the XBS?

RoW is our least accurate as we get limited data, but we have an estimated 358K sold in Asia (up from 351K a year ago) and an estimated 146K sold in MEA (tied from last year)

I think we can safely say it's not PlayStation in trouble.  It's the USA that's in trouble!

Sony want to make money by selling art, Nintendo want to make money by selling fun, Microsoft want to make money.

Americas (without USA) is 171k for PS5 this year compared to 253k last year. So around a 32% drop YoY. Better than the 40% of USA, but still bad.

Yeah I didn't include it as it's only just got started and is bound to do a lot better in future years, but I'll put it in.

Impressive.
