Getting rid of the downvote option on article posts has to be one of the greatest changes to this site. It feels so much less like a warzone now lol.

I agree. Bad comments don't tend to get a lot of upvotes and those few that do aren't really much of a problem. I've missed the option to downvote some of the actually bad posts myself, but much less than I've enjoyed not having to worry who's going to downvote my comment not because it's bad but because the other party simply disagrees with it.

Pretty sure my view is not going to be a popular one.  I'm on the opposite side.  Reading the article was half the enjoyment for me and then seeing the back and forth in the comments section with the upvotes and downvotes was the other half of the enjoyment.  Since the time that down votes have been removed, I've only bothered to read maybe 5 articles since.

I don't think the back and forth stuff is supposed to be engaging content though, nor do I think it makes for a healthy community to have that as part of the enjoyment. Anyway, I get your point. I also know a lot of people were opposed to removing downvotes, so you're definitely not alone either.

Hey!
What about the idea of mplementing a yearly chart also under weekly and monthly? Is it feasible?

(1.) Ability to change text size, font, and color in posts— the "Text Style" options do not work as intended.
(2.) Fix the "Add a Line" feature in the text editor— it doesn't work as expected.
(3.) Either get rid of the feature where all users tagged in a post are notified of every edit to said post OR grant the user the option (in the Settings menu) to disable notifications on edited posts they were tagged in.
(4.) Allow for a "Compact View" mode: Shrink the size of the user icons (i.e. name & profile picture).

(5.) Allow for files e.g. Excel to be displayed normally.

(6.) Allow for greater control over line spacing... like right now. I don't want there to be so much vertical space between lines. I'd like to have the compactness of the first few lines of this post.

That actually is a decent idea. Only issue is it will cause more scrolling. Though one idea I've had is to have the Weekly and Monthly in one specific section with Monthly as the default and have a button to switch between them. If you look at "Forums", "Poll of the Week", or "Prediction League" you can see the buttons that would be used.

A Compact View is a really good idea. It would also make the forums better for people on mobile as well.

I personally have signatures turned off as it helps the forums load faster and means less scrolling. If you go to the Settings page ( https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/settings/preferences/ ) the "Hide Sigs" option is under "Forum Options". Just be sure to press "Update Preferences" afterwards.

Can someone delete my post on Curl's Sega vs Xbox Crashout thread? It is crashing the site and I can't manually delete it for some reason.

Do we know what the cause is behind the inconsistent vertical line spacing on forum posts? Or if there’s any way to mitigate/fix the issue?

Hit Shift+Enter at the end of a line to keep it from jumping two lines. It still needs to be fixed though because hitting it repeatedly to post a game list is annoying.
