Forums - Gaming - Name a defunct video game series you would like to see resurrected

Skylanders will always be my number one pick. Besides that? Mother/Earthbound (I really am craving a remake of the OG games. The encounter rate with enemies was a major turn off for me when I tried it a few years ago.), Ape Escape, Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, Banjo Kazooie, Spyro (there hasn’t been an *original* release since 2008), Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, Mario Baseball, and…there’s prolly a lot of other games that I’m just not remembering.

Good news! They are making a new one. When SEGA announced all those IP revivals. This was one of them.

Chrono, I guess technically it's a series with Trigger and Cross. The best game of all time in Trigger, and a good game in Cross.  Wizards and Warriors from Rare.

Chrono Cross is a great game Chrono trigger is good too. A shame we never got Chrono Break.

You got it OP

Breath of Fire is my pick too. Shame that Capcom wont invest any time or money and instead the last entry was a double whammy that sent the series to its grave (It was both a MMO and on mobile) to the point where they think no one has interest in the series, wont be bother making a collection.

Dino Crisis for sure. And another game in the Kyle Hyde series would be very welcome as well.

A year ago I would have said Ninja Gaiden, but that franchise is back. I've played the first 5 or so chapters of NG4 and I am enjoying it, but it definitely feels more like a PlatinumGames title rather than a Tomonobu Itagaki (RIP) Ninja Gaiden game.

As far as what else I would want resurrected - Crimson Skies, Legacy of Kain, Dino Crisis, Quake, Saints Row (like 3)

Tenchu.

I thought Ghost of Tsushima would be a decent susbstitute but it didn't quite match the fun of stalking guards on rooftops at night in Tenchu.
