Sounds like the Pikmin movie is progressing well lol. I have no idea what this is other than a short film with a lot of Pikmin music scattered in the background.

Seems like a movie implying her father as a ghost got her to take her first steps and was able to watch it. I wouldn’t say this is proof that Nintendo can take up that Pixar mantle, but they’re definitely heading in that direction with this.

EDIT…maybe I went to deep with it. 

Someone at NintendoLife says at 1:40 you can see a red Pikmin the background. I watched it and there is absolutely a small Pikmin like blur under the chair that moves. 

Looks like one of those short movies before the main movie a lot of cartoons used to have.

How is this an ad for family settings? 

Not just Pikmin music.

At some point throughout the short, you can see something small moving in the background (most prominently 1:38-1:42 in the short, you can see some blurry red thing moving in the background). Considering the size and the fact that Pikmin are apparently invisible to Human eyes, it's very well possible that Pikmin are messing with the little baby here.

This was included in the “News” section of the Nintendo Today app. Seems like Nintendo is teasing something…

my mistake when I was on the video I clicked an add that went to parental settings which I though was from Nintendo but it was actually YouTube

That plus the music tells me it’s something Pikmin related. There’s no question. Looks like something to do with a new variant of Pikmin… invisible Pikmin. Is it possible we’re seeing the first teaser for Pikmin 5? I’d imagine it’s a little too soon for that…but Smash Bros Ultimate only had a dev cycle if two years, so I guess anything is possible.
