Have been so many occassions that it certainly could have happened but their have been around 40-70 US involvment cases in Latin America alone, sometimes economic pressure worked.  Did not always end well. Chile was one of the worst examples.

In Africa it worked also well, a lot of Eu colonies got their freedom because of US interference.

Bolded: What US interference are you talking about here? The only one I'm aware of is in the Congo, and that was an international effort.

There has probably been quite a bit done in Africa, especially to counter the Russians and Soviets before that.

I can't see how this is not a good thing. Trump was gonna pull a Bush and go in there, get the oil and it would have been a mess but they managed it in a clean surgically precise couple of hours. No years long suffering. No generations of people who'll grow up to hate the USA. No destabalisation that'll cause future mass migration. The world today is better off than it was Yesterday. Venezuela is better off than it was Yesterday. Maduro is the one who is having a bad day and fuck that guy.

Maduro may be gone, but the rest of his administration is still in power. If Trump wants a real regime change, it will require, what he himself calls “US ruling Venezuela”, which means occupation. Maduro may be unpopular, but the Venezuelan military still largerly supports him. This is dangerously close to spiralling out of control.

It WILL spiral out of control.

If I were a member of the Cuban government, I'd start getting very nervous right about now....

Trump has already threatened Delcy Rodriguez "with a fate worse than Maduro's" if she doesn't comply.

Which means that he's going to have the U.S. military kidnap her to CECOT or have her outright tortured and killed.

Which he also wants to do to the president of Mexico and the Canadian prime minister. The administration is long overdue for life in prison.

Canada is too big to handle. Trump is the asshole that picks on tiny countries that aren't powerful.

Well Canada isn't powerful either. We don't have nukes or hydrogen bombs, last I checked, and we don't have a military big enough to push back. -_-

The only country since the 1860s that the U.S. fought that was comparable in size to the U.S. was the Japanese empire. The rest of the U.S.'s wars were fought against countries with smaller populations than California. Nigeria has a population of 240 million, and forget about China, which still has a population twice as large as both Americas combined.
