In the 6th gen the GBA got a shockingly impressive version of V-Rally 3:

I’ve always had a soft spot for the NES versions of Ultima 3 and 4. The NES version of U3 was my first introduction to western-style RPGs (despite the Japanese visuals and music in that version.)

Not my cup of tea, but I found these very interesting - D&D Rules Cyclopedia from '94, for Japanese market:

Ben (Questing Beast) did an overview of them not long ago:

Star Wars: Force Unleashed for Wii.

Yeah, PS360 looked better, but I found gameplay with Wiimote to be more fun in Wii version (aside from actually being different game, with the same overall theme and story).

Turtes in Time on SNES. It was inferior to the arcade verson from a technical point of view. But the gameplay was so much better. Still the best Beat 'em up to this very day.

In the same category, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition on Wii was so much fun with the Wiimote motion controls. Banging a store owner's head on the counter mimicking the motion was so immersive.

Unfortunately, only played that one on PC - wish EA makes Remaster of it, with up to date visuals.

The Nintendo DS Version of Final Fantasy IV it's a huge visual upgrade from the SNES version since it went from 2D to 3D. It also sounds a lot better than SNES version and has some good voice acting and nice FMV opening. Also, the second screen is used in a good way.
