Microsoft officially completed its acquisition of Activision Blizzard on October 13, 2023.

Microsoft officially announced a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms in December 2022,

Is this the year? At what point do we get to call out Microsoft for lying? Do they get a free pass now that Phil is gone?

Yeah if this year's entry doesn't make the jump it will be genuinely baffling all around and a huge fail for all involved.

It's kinda funny though how missing last year's entry turned out to be a blessing in disguise though as Black Ops 7 turned out to be donkey shit.

Lol exactly.   I would like to point out though that while we should expect ports of the new releases... they could have even ported some older ones.  I honestly wouldn't mind Black Ops 3.  Would run like a dream on the Switch 2.

Thing is, they may feel like an older game is "yesterday's news" and so there wouldn't be much demand for it, relative to a port of the current year's COD.

In retrospect, I feel like this thread really was quite silly: Only two months into the system’s lifecycle and some were already arriving at conclusions of doom and gloom lol.

Not calling anybody out (heck, I’m probably among the anxious users in this thread!), just thought it was a funny little lesson to point out.

Im glad it was finally announced but let's be real Call of Duty could have been on Switch years ago.
That being said I would still like some older titles like BO3.
Also please for the love of all that is good find a way to make this not be 200 GBs.

Im avoiding key cards so if I have to download this please try to keep it sub 100 GBs.

This is gonna be a great boon for Nintendo as it will drive adoption to their online service.

I recently got the new version of the 8Bitdo Putple controller (comes with a nice matching charging dock) and I hope it holds up as far as latency. I would recommend folks invest in something like this or the Pro controller as the joy con pad that's included will NOT cut it. Dont even try it lol. And turn off cross-platform!
would really appreciate a demo.

Also I hope it supports 120 FPS as thats how I play on PS5 but its not a hard requirement.

The only hard pass for me is if I have to get a separate memory card because it takes up too much space.   Im also willing to wait a few months till it's half price so I can get it on both systems.

Hopefully they do an open beta that includes Switch 2.
