COD domination is not surprising. I wish we had a chart that excludes COD and annual sports games (wait... where the sports games at?!!!) to see how the rest are doing lol. GT7 is the top grossing GT game of all time, it beats PS1's top game (GT1) and yet is a no show here. I wonder where it ranks.
Spider-Man is bigger than I expected. Didn't expect Miles Morales to outsell God of War in unit sales or Spider-Man 2 to already be in the top 20 in revenue. I'm also a little surprised Ragnarok didn't show up in either chart.

Miles Morales outselling Ragnarok in dollars and units is a massive surprise to me.
No sports games on these charts is an even bigger surprise.

I'm wondering how evenly split sports games are across platforms, mainly Madden since this is the US, because that definitely surprised me too.
Awesome to see about Miles Morales though. I guess Spider-Man is just that big in the US.

Platform splits are definitely a big part of it. I'm not sure on the actual numbers but I can't imagine anything more than 60/40.

With Rockstar's games being the equivalent of Pokémon I suppose.
Goes to show that third more than first party titles drive Playstation, as opposed to Nintendo where it's the other way around.
