Results are out. Breakdown article is in the OP.

  • NS2 ~2.4 million / 77% ahead of NS1 and 5% ahead of PS4
  • PS5, XS, and NS down over 10%
  • NBA 2K26 debuts in 1st
  • Madden NFL 26 debuts in 2nd

Waiting to hear from Mat on more info on PS5, XS, and NS.

The top 2 were a given, but XS and NS have been really close in sales.

Mario Kart World is not even in Nintendo's personal top 10. People must only be getting it in the bundle.

The fact that GTA 5 is still on the list should give folks an idea just how big GTA 6 is going to be. Its gonna be crazy.

We don't have much information to go on when it comes to the PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch in the US, so only have preliminary data based on what little we have. I could post that and adjust if we get more data from Mat? Otherwise I can wait to post Americas estimates.

Good result considering it was a very quiet month for Switch 2 software wise.
If it's doing this well in a month without any major releases, October-December are gonna be nuts.

I simply don't get why is it that Circana is so problematic some months. Famitsu reveals video game sales number without delays. I know Japan is way smaller than the US, but I think that, by now, Circana should already have the means to get these data easier

Circana tracks like 97% of the US market so they have all the data. They just don't always reveal the sales numbers or provide enough information to be able to get with in a few % of the actual numbers.
