A manager, a worker and an immigrant sit at a table in a bar. The bartender brings a plate with 20 cookies. The manager instantly grabs 19 and whispers to the worker: watch out, that immigrant is eyeing your cookie.

The other version is they order a plate of cookies for $20.  The manager pays $19.50, the worker pays 0.50 and complains the manager isn't paying a fair share.

*top 10% already pay 72% of taxes

You are completely missing the point of the story its not about taxation or tax rates.  It shows how the rich and powerful are great at dividing and conquering people with less power and less money to keep the status quo.  The manager gets away with 19 cookies and has the worker and immigrant fighting over one cookie.  As long as you have infighting between the middle class, working class and poor people the rich will keep on getting richer and getting away with rigging the system to make them even richer.

Oh I get the "point".  In typical leftist fashion everybody assumes the cookies were free and magically showed up, thus everything should be divided equally.

I was making fun of the "point" because it is stupid and doesn't represent the real world.

Somebody made the cookies and somebody has to pay for the cookies.  If we lived in Lala land the comic would have value.

I consider myself a libertarian, but I generally lean more to the center-right of that spectrum. And given the recent events this past week, I will say this to the left.

It doesn't matter if you dislike Trump, Charlie Kirk or whoever. Calling everyone who who disagrees with your politics or worldview a literal Nazi, is one of the most intellectual lazy and dishonest arguments in the modern era and quite frankly, it's one that should've died years ago. All it really does is reveal that you don't actually want to share ideas or debate, you just want to silence and dox people you don't like just so your can feel morally superior to everyone, which is complete narcissism.

And the people on social media who celebrate the death of people they disagree with politically, or try to excuse, or damage control murder when it's a "marginalized minority" commiting it, are some of the most morally bankrupt degenerates in the world.

I'm tired of people who have a worldview that even slightly deviates from establishment neo-liberal thinking, constantly shouted down and branded by those on the left as a "evil racist biggot" for even daring to question their beliefs.

Do you think comments like those below only "slightly deviates from establishment neo-liberal thinking"? What makes them different from segregationalist sentiment? Even Charlie himself called the first position below "radical."

I have seen people suggesting he isn't racist because he isn't an outright fascist like Fuentes, but the race comments below would be considered unambiguously racist in, say, the 1990s or aughts -- not just to leftists, but regular conservatives too.

"We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s."

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made up new age term that does a lot of damage."

"If I see a Black pilot, I'm going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified.'"

You’re really glazing over the things Trump/Kirk stand for  when you label it as simply “having different opinions”.

I’m not saying they deserved to be shot but you can’t be on a side that actively promotes division, strips people of their rights, & tries to overthrow democracy then get upset when that results in political violence.

It does represent the real world and you don't get the point.  You are just fine with the status quo and the rich and powerful rigging the system to become even more rich and powerful.

It doesn't.  Cookies don't magically appear.  Nor do boxes.  Somebody paid for the raw ingredients and took the time to make the cookies.  That is real world.

That what many on the left do not understand.  Products don't magically appear.  Somebody put up money and time.  Most people don't work for free.

On the contrary, a major basis of left wing thought is pretty much that people are putting in their effort.

You said several pages ago that you create more wealth for your company than you are given. That's the point. Companies are taking advantage of their workers.

And the people with power want you to be mad at the ones who make less, and not the ones who actually benefit from the system.

I get it you are okay with the people doing the least amount of work getting the most rewards and rigging the system to get even more by doing even less.

So inaccurate I'm not going to give a real response.  I'm just going to chortle.
