Forums - PC - Now what? Borderlands 4 System Requirements excludes half of Steam Users

Tbf, that’s better than excluding 100% of Steam users with the last game for the first 6 months of release lol

Fr though, half of Steam users are playing the likes of Counter Strike, Dota 2, Apex, Team Fortress 2, etc that don’t need more modern graphics cards to properly run

5060ti is roughly 70 to 80% better than a 2070, and is $400. It isn't like BL4 is requiring a $1,000 gpu.

Edit

Hell a 5060 is 30% above a 2070 at $250....

A 5070 is 2x a 2070 and is $500.

2070 is just getting old, which means the base ps5 is getting old as well.  Graphics are only going to improve.  Next to 2 to 3 years current consoles are going to struggle, just look at snake eater.

We'll need to see how this runs but if those minimum requirements are for 1080p 60fps at low settings then that's completely fine. Battlefield 6's minimum requirements aren't that much lower than this and that runs on modest hardware no issue. Due to the long cross-gen period people with old PC's have been able to run many new games decently for quite a while but with the PS5 coming up on 5 years old you're gonna be having a bad time increasingly often if your GPU came out before 2020 and isn't a 2080ti. That's just what happens when tech gets up there in years and if anything GPUs last a lot longer than they used to so a lot of the complaints can be quite silly.

Wait, so you mean all those guys who only play Minecraft, Roblox or Stardew Valley and have no interest in playing any other games whatsoever which is the reason why they don't felt to upgrade their systems..... won't be able to play Borderlands 4? I am SHOCKED! 😱

When Borderlands 3 came out I played it on the back then "world's most powerful console" and it had very bad performance at launch; you could not use performance mode because it would stutter a lot, quality mode was at least playable. But since they this time even moved the launch ahead I would expect that we get a properly running game from the get go and not just a month after release when they have patched it up.

Now you either upgrade, buy a console, or don't play it. You don't buy a PC expecting it will run every game forever.
