The thing is, about oblivion, that for some reason when I play games now, I don't want to miss anything. Bioshock is taking me forever because I take all damn day on one or two levels.... in oblivion...... I don't think it would be humanly possible for me to finish it...

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem. But you shouldn't feel obligated to do that. I mean, in a game like Oblivion there are probably 20 thousand barrels you don't even need to open because they contain the same random crap.

I feel that need to see everything sometime too, but it can overshadow enjoying the game. I figure 1000 points now days equals full completion, even if you didnt' check 20,000 barrels.

Well... having re-entered the world of unemployment as of this morning my Gamerscore has already gone up a couple of hundred points! :S

Is that a good or a bad thing?!

It just depends on your tastes I guess. If you like that kinda game you should love Oblivion. Only game I've spent over 100 hours on and playing again makes me want to start a new character over and do it all again with different strategy.

But, I would say you need more time to apreciate it.

Tip, pick the things you plan on doing most as your major skills.... and usually athletics is a good idea since just moving around will help you level faster.

My first character was a war mage type character named Rupert Giles (original I know....) who obtained a god like status by eventually gathering a suit of demon armor in the oblivion gates throughout the game.

My Thief/Dark Brotherhood character I'm playing now just for the acheivements is named Faith (original again... I know) who is a custom class slayer. Hand to hand, Marksmanship, that kind of stuff. She's a lot weaker than Giles though.

Kinda funny, I got the vampire desease and didn't realize it, then on the night the dark brotherhood guy woke me up to offer me guildship was also the night I turned into a vampire. So, it may make functioning in the world a lot harder but it's sure going to make killing people for the brotherhood a lot more fun.

Sorry to babble, StrategyKing, you should give it more of a chance.

I started a new character and did the opposite! I set all my major skills to things I didn't do much so that I wouldn't level up as fast. That way I can max out my skills quickly without having to sleep. My new character has hundreds on about 60 percent of his skills and I'm still in the single digits. Once I'm done I will just go through the game obliterating everyone.

I had to start over anyway because my 1st save is glitched where everytime I sleep my level goes up no matter what. That sucks on missions where you have to rest. The only good thing is I can raise my skills for days without having to sleep. Although if I over do it the game freezes.

The part about the Gamerscore is a good thing!

I think its worth adding PGR4 to the list of Top Achiever awards. You got 1,005, I think thats very impressive. No ones going to beat that anytime soon :)

I'm a bit confused, you do this because enemies auto-level and if you don't level they don't level?

It sounds cool but I can't help but wonder what mage characters would do, if you never boosted your stats you would never have enough mana to cast the better spells later on.

Question to EagleEye, will 1,000 points earn me top earner for Oblivion or would the full 1,250 from the expansion be required?  Also, do I not make the cut for Marvel Ultimate Alliance? Also, I've got 200 points in Pacman Championship Edition, does that count? Last question, how many points do the top earners for Dead Rising have?  Whoever they are... they are a gaming god for getting some of those.

Sorry for all the questions, just wierd having Rock Band as my only top earner when I only have 250 points in it.

damn Wii... is keeping me away from my 360... needs to fight against those feelings

Exactly....when they level up they still won't be strong enough to stand a chance. Plus I just wanna have the ultimate character that's maxed out. Also if you max out certain skills you can just enchant your armor enough/use potions to boost your magic levels enough to cast any spell.

@sublime78

There are 3 members who got 1,250 for Oblivion so I think its fair that only 1,250 gets you the Top Achiever award.

For me to track a game, it has to A. have difficult Achievements, B. more than 10-15 gamertags have registered playing that game, C. a game that people are still generally interested about. You see, for each new game I add, I have to look at it every week, and I already got my hands quite full with the current list. I am planning to add PGR4 because the Achievements are very difficult. Are the Achievements for Marvel UA difficult? Maybe the week after? What about Pacman CE, are they difficult? I dont want to add too many old games as there will be new games in the future as well. All the ones already I am sure are difficult.

BrainBoxLtd got 1000/1000 for Dead Rising. Yes that has got to be the most insane Achievement.

The way its going, FrodaddyG has beaten you with 300 points! I think its worth putting Rock Band because the Achievements are difficult and the game is relatively new (its still in the Top 5 most played amongst our members).
