Only 4 people in the league with Prince of Persia? I'm less than 20% in and so far I like it. The combat's far easier than PoP: SoT, a game I liked but never finished. On the other hand, some of the jumps are frustrating and as such I'll probably miss the "Be gentle with her" achievement. The graphics are good, nothing spectacular, but I don't care for the design of the prince. Elika's a keeper, though. I like how they incorporated her into the combat.

Gah I'm so jealous .. Prince of Persia, Left 4 Dead AND Fallout 3!!

I'm getting PoP this christmas I hope.

Wow, prince of persia sales should spike before Christmas, lol.

Yeah, I'm getting Prince of Persia for Christmas too.

I joined the 1000 club in Prince of Persia this morning. I was exactly the 50th person to do so according to MGC, lol. Overall the game took me about 18-20 hours (due to reloading saves and light seed hunting). The hardest achievement was "Sword Master" (perform the 14 hit combo), the most annoying was "Combo Specialist" (perform every combo) and the most fun were the four runner achievements (go from point A to point B in a certain amount of time). I found the runner achievement with the fewest points, "Ruined Citadel Runner", the hardest.

As for the game itself, it was enjoyable. The environments are impressive and very detailed. Some of the views once you've cleared areas (The Vale areas in particular) are amazing. Very pleasing to the eyes. I also liked that you could move around from area to area and not encounter a loading screen.

People that enjoy a lot of combat won't be too happy. I had maybe 75 battles total and never faced more than one enemy at a time. The layout of the game's areas make it difficult to have many enemies but there could've been more. Why have so many available combos if you can't really put them to use? The fighting is almost an afterthought in this game. It doesn't have to be like NG2 with a ton of enemies coming at you but a few more wouldn't hurt.

Also, you can't die. Not even in battle. In a fight you can put down the controller and the enemy can beat the living shit out of you for 10 minutes and you won't die. Not that you should be dying, because the enemies, even the "bosses", are way easy.

The Prince sucks. The way he looks and his personality. He's very bland and a bit of a douche bag. I hope they change him, but they won't, for the sequel.

What the hell? It takes like 4 days to 1000/1000 Prince of Persia? What a disappointment. Is there any replayability in it at all after you beat it? Considering you never die, everywhere you go is basically a button-timing sequence where the game does everything for you and you say the battles suck, is there a point in buying it full price? I think I'll get it at $35-40.

@erikers, I don't think I'll be playing it again anytime soon. As long as you save often, there's no need to play through a full 2nd time. I beat the game and got the "Speed Demon" and "Be gentle with her" achievements in my 1st play, then loaded up a save to find the remaining light seeds I missed and to perform the runner and combo achievements.

Scores collected, update this coming weekend.

C&C Red Alert 3 and Mirrors Edge Race not counted - not even one person bought RA3.

How hard are the light seeds to find? That is my main concern, especially as there are 1001, isn't it hard to keep track of which ones you are missing?

Also, I love easy games (apart from shooters or more intense games) and i will certainly enjoy sitting back and enjoying this one!

@Munkeh111, not that hard. Each main area has 45 light seeds and the majority of them, probably 25, are clearly out in the open. The rest are either hidden or visible but can be found if you take your time and look for anything peculiar, such as a random board or grab ring sticking out. There's always about 5 light seeds hidden in every area in which you'll need one of Elika's powers other than the power associated with that area. For example if an area is designated red, you might need the green power to acquire those 5 light seeds. The areas are mostly linear and there's only so many routes to go, so if you take your time exploring, you'll find them all.
