@All - seriously, if you own/like your 360 racers give the GRID demo a try if you haven't already. I think it's actually much better than Forza 2, PGR 4, GT5:P or Burnout.

You just named four racing games that are way across the spectrum of that genre. I'm a huge Burnout fan but I can't stand Forza and GT. Am I going to like G

It's tough to say whether anyone will like a game, but the demo has two different tracks and covers two different disciplines iirc, so it should give you a good idea of what to expect. If you like the demo you'll love the game.

Like jason said, it's more on the arcade side of things than the simulation side of things, but it still sits in the middle - it's not pure arcade (I don't actually like arcade racers like PGR or SEGA rally, I prefer the blend you get from something like Burnout or the old TOCA games). I would say from arcade to sim the games I listed are like this:

SEGA rally, PGR, Motorstorm, Burnout, Forza, Gran Turismo

With GRID in between Motorstorm and Burnout. So if that's also how you would order those games from arcade to sim then that's probably where GRID would fit into place for you as well.

Burnout more sim as PGR ???? Never ^^

It's more like: (From the 360 games I own or at least played at my brothers 360)

SEGA Rally, Burnout Revenge, Need For Speed (Carbon, MW or ProStreet), Juiced 2, Burnout Paradise, GRID, PGR4, PGR3, DiRT, MotoGP07, Forza 2

For me, PGR feels considerably more arcade-like in terms of graphics, car design and handling than Burnout.

Honest question. I would like to know how graphics and car design make a racing game more arcade/simulation-like.

Yes....all those 350 points came from WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2007...good game by the way!!!

Gratz Machina on 1st place!

I think you have that backward Machina.  PGR is in between arcade game and the like of Forza.  PGR also have real car design (may be you mean track design?).

Anyway, I really enjoy GRID and I wish I have more time to play it.  I don't know if you will like htis Ony if you don't like sim-ish game.  I find it very enjoyable however and one of the better racer to come out on the 360.  I am really sad that it's sort of bomb here in the US.   I think racing games days are number and going the way of the platformers and fighter (though that one seems to have sort of resurgent with Soul Calibur 4).

I was doing good on my score this week to, up to 540 points but then my friend at work got sick and I agree to cover for her on my week off.

Is that a challenge sir!? But yea your prolly right I get sidetracked and its going to be hard to focus on Gears 2 with all the great games coming out. I'm very happy that they took the weapon achievements out.

Damn right it's a challenge.  I guarantee I'll 1000 point this game or I'll wipe with sandpaper for a week.

Smackdown vs Raw 2007 is absolutely brillaint (I still play it to this day despite nearly taking part in over 400 online matches)........... much better than the 2008 version, And despite it been nearly 2 years old you still never tend to have to wait more than say 90 seconds for an online match........ Best soundtrack out of all the smackdown v raw games too
