4 out of the 6 big titles are shooting games. Hmmmm and I thought the 360 was king of the fps!

1. Haze = Flop. 750,000 copies.
2. MGS 4 = Flip. 4 million.
3. LBP = Flop. 1.3 million copies (but this site, the devs etc expects +2 mill)
4. Killzone 2 = Flop. 1.1 million (but this site, the devs etc expects +2 mill)
5. Resistance 2 = Flip. 2.5 mill.
6. GTA IV = Flip. 6 mill.

(Note: sales WW during first year)



Reasonable on 25 April 2008

Can't believe people feel RFOM2 will be a flop. It's not that RFOM was that great but it has the user base coupled with a (probably) better second game so I'd say its pretty much a shoo in for a decent hit - its going to sell at least 1M WW that's for sure.

The realy question is can it break out to go gangbusters (i.e. over 3 or 4M)? That's another story.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Haze: 800K - 1.2M. Not a huge success, but not a flop either. Average/good.

MGS4: 5 - 6M. A huge success. Hit.

LBP: 1M+. Could be a huge hit with long legs, but it is hard to say. Hit.

Resistance 2: 2.4 - 3.2M. Amazing online will make this stand out from the crowd. Hit.

GTA4: 7.5 - 8.5M What can I say. Hit.

I don't think there's any way MGS4 hits 6 million.  That's really optimistic.  If the top-selling games are only near 3 million now?  And that's with some of them being pack-ins?   There has been no sign that any game is capable of 6 million right now - even GTA4 though we are all willing to say that will move a lot lifetime.

 MGS4 at 3 million is a huge success for that game at this time.



Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

Dude learn to spell and your a troll,KZ2 is not setting out to kill Halo that was KZ1.KZ2 looks to be on par with COD 4 as far as FPS's go and adds elements that will make it stand out such as graphics and the gameplay.GG has been hard at work on this game and wont disappoint by rushing it out like KZ1.

LBP cannot and will not flop. It will sell well due to the fact that it will be on the psn and in brick and mortar stores. Take warhawk as an example and warhawk had a much smaller install base.
