It's close to the end of its theatrical run now and will probably earn slightly more than $600 million world-wide which is decent. The movie had a lot of cross promotions and merchandise it probably made a good amount of money from that also.

Snyder and Gunn are two directors I don't understand why they're so popular. Neither has done a single film I'd be particularly happy with. (Have not seen GotG3.)

I especially hate Snyder for failing 300 and Watchmen. While I am always the "not like book/comic/game" guy, 300 is pretty mediocre movie for being the greatest story in human history as told by one of greatest living comic creators and IMO Watchmen completely misses the point by making the superheroes too heroic when the comic's best aspect is humanizing them and giving each non-admirable qualities. And BvS is the worst Batman movie so far.

Gunn on the other hand is just boring. I do tend to say the same even about Cameron and Spielberg, but they at least have made remarkable movies.

Its fine not to like them. The appropriate response however is to just not watch the movie. These weirdos have been obsessing about this for nearly a decade.
