Forums - Sales - Microsoft made a profit again!

It's not much, and I don't know if the X360 made a profit. Perhaps more will be learned from the full report and conference call.

Parenthesis () means loss.

Excuse my mild case of ADD, but all these numbers confused me lol. Could you type out exactly how much they made? For instance, maybe just type "Microsft made 89 million this quarter and 614 million this fiscal year"  <<<(Is that what it says?)

Just a reminder the "Entertainment and Devices Division" includes: Xbox 360, Games for Windows, Mobile communications, Zune, PC Hardware, Mac Office, and other sources of revenue as well.

You are aware, fishy, that these numbers include the Zune and every other Microsoft device on the market, and according to a source I can't be bothered to find, don't include the billion set aside for the RRoD losses.

...but then again, Nintendo gains include everything made from the Poke'mon franchise as well.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Microsoft made 89 million between Jan 1(08) and March 31 (08)

Microsoft made 614 million between July 1 (07) and March 31 (08)

Microsoft's fiscal year ends on June 30.

It's really hard to put an exact number on this, because Entertainment encompasses more than just the XBOX 360.

But 89 million with the help of the Zune, and XBOX Live isn't all that great, IMO

It's the best information we have right now, since the 360 doesn't have its own division. Regarding the billion for RROD, that's history... It was set aside long ago, so it won't affect current and future reports (unless the billion runs out).
