I noticed 3 recently announced games that do this. It looks like the 360 version of this game will have online and the Wii and PS2 versions will not.

Didn't Take-Two also do this with Bully?
Are they also retarded?
Some developers don't want to port games to systems that they feel aren't worth the cost of the port. This might be what happened here. Happens all the time with the Wii. I don't consider it retarded. I certainly wish it wasn't so, but I understand the reasoning behind the decision, even though sometimes I feel I know better than publishers about their own games, but I'm a biased Nintendo fanboy, so what do I know.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

...because the PS3 certainly couldn't use anything it can get to artificially bump its mediocre software sales.

Did anyone think otherwise? So what is more next gen...tossing dice with your wii mote or playing against your friend in Australia.

EA is tapping into that segment of the population that is so socially unacceptable that they can't even tolerate the thought of sitting in a room with other people for an hour to play a board game. It's genius. Now these people will be on xbox live and not psn. It will be interesting to see the hardware sales after this releases. Any idea on what the Achievements will be?
Thanks for the input, Jeff.

If you're talking about Bully: Scholarship Edition, it was a test of whether or not the Wii and 360 fanbases would be accepting of the Bully franchise, and whether or not they should put Bully 2 on either of the systems. The 360 passed the test, and although neither of them probably made much money, the 360 version sold better, which gives more hope for a full-fledged game.
As for Monopoly, the concept sounds intriguing. Imaging waggling the mote and do a SMG-like flight to St. James? Or perhaps you can shake the dice with a little hand that you control with the remote? The possibilities, even for such a linear game, are endless!
Yet, the only problem is, it's EA.

What kind of damn Monopoly game are you playing that it takes 1 hour?
The only reason why EA isn't releasing Monopoly on the PS3 is because they are making an exclusive game just for the PS3.
It's called "Hungry Hungry Hippos: Hostile Takeover" , It's pretty much just like Hungry hungry hippos except the Hippos are wearing EA branded suits and the pearls in the middle happen to have the names of various independent studios and huge 3rd party publishers.

Good point. It usually involves a lot of beer.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
