I feel like Kirby Air Riders should fill a spot on “Most Surprising.” If you had told me that Masahiro Sakurai’s big new game for Switch 2 would release in year one, and that it would be a sequel to Kirby Air Ride of all things, I would’ve not taken you seriously. (And not only that, but the game is super fun!)

Not sure which thread was the right one for this, but I feel like Monster Hunter Wilds should be an option for "most disappointing" as it's one of the foremost examples this year of a major game that didn't meet the expectations of many players.

I'm "only" 12 or so hours into it, but I wanna give a big shoutout to Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

This game has so far been a dream come true as a fan of the franchise, a huge upgrade over the previous games in every way, it looks beautiful, it sounds cool, the story premise is very interesting and I'm excited to see where they take it, though I'm not sold on the characters yet. I may be jumping the gun but this feels like it'll be in my top 3 for this year, truly a magical experience so far.

I'm waiting for Digimon to get to a reasonable price to get it, looks great.

Yeah, I just got it on sale by splitting the price with a friend. 20% off isn't nearly enough to make the game reasonably priced, and the DLC stuff is pretty greedy too. A shame Bandai Namco had to do their thing.

I have been looking for the PS5 physical copy since before it released, and sadly when it pops up, which is not all the time, it's carrying a pretty big pricetag with it. Had the chance of getting for 20% too due to Mercado Livre coupouns but even so... R$ 280 to 300 is still a lot, so I hope it'll eventually get in a way better pricing range.

Hope you keep enjoying it, always happy to see Digimon getting good results, love it since I'm a kid and a PS1 Digimon game still populates my top 10 list.
