I'm not really comparing it to Lair (and I'm not upset the series went to Sony, that's just idiotic), I'm just saying don't get excited about nothing. You know almonst nothing about FFXIII Versus yet Windbane seems to think it's going to revolutionize gaming.

People were also thinking Lair was going to be the second coming because of the visuals yet it turned out to be just plain bad. That doesn't mean that FFXIII Versus will be bad, but why don't you wait to you actually know something about it until you start declaring best game ever.

And while FF Tactics was really good, FFX wasn't that good and XII was just plain bad. 

Well the problem with FF12 was that they ripped a LOT from their previous game "Tactics Oger." right down to Lans and Lans being there, looking exactly the same and playing the exact same rolls.

What they didn't steal from Tactics Ogre they stole from Star Wars.

FF Tactics was also a lot better then FF10. (Though it also ripped a lot from Tactics Ogre, but that's part of what made it so good. It was half Tactics Ogre and Half FF5.)

I believe what Twesterm was saying though is that all we know about FF13 is that it looks good. We know nothing about the story except the main character is a female cloud and we know next to nothing about gameplay.

GT5 is a known quantity pretty much.  I mean Prologue is out.  We know that game is sticking to it's tried and true method.  We know FF13 is going off the grid with gameplay and the only plot point we know is that it's a rehash of 7.

nobody is saying FF13 will be the second coming..I mean I don't think it has much of a chance of beating FF6 (the best FF imo)....but it definetely looks better than 7 & 8 from what we've seen..

whatever people may say though, FF10 & 12 are my 2nd & 3rd favorite FF's

 Looks better graphically... but i mean... gameplay wise we really haven't seen anything.... at all.  Have we?  I mean a few scenes that may or may not of been battle scenes and no clue on how to activate attacks.

(With me aiming for... not battle scenes since if i remember correctly Lightning was doing some pretty complex moves for a system that's supposed to be real time.

I hear you darthdevidem... twestern: nice exergeration but I didn't say it was going to revolutionize gaming. I said it's the same team that did Kingdom Hearts, a game I very much enjoyed. Yes, having Disney and FF characters involved was nice, but it was still a good game and KH2 was even better. The reason having FF characters was cool was that so many people like FF games! To discredit positive things that anyone says, you say no one knows much about the games. Well, when it's the same teams that have continually produced masterpieces why should I doubt their future projects? Especially when so much time is being spent on them to ensure that FF13 becomes a franchise on its own. I don't think Square wants to repeat what happened early with FF7 spinoffs, which btw weren't the main teams. Oh, and Crisis Core is good. But hey, continue to doubt FF13 and Versus. We'll know soon enough.
