Hence, probably an extra reason Nintendo consoles sell so much in a European market.

So, lite is still enticing in many European markets.

Will keep NS afloat a bit more. 

Europe is the only territory where NS is lagging significantly behind NDS/PS2 and even PS4,despite having outsold them in other places way before. 

The VAT is already included in that 179.90 CHF price. VAT is 8.1% in Switzerland, so not too high fortunately :)

The relatively low electronics prices are also in part because of the strong swiss franc compared to the USD and EUR.

NS2 costs 429/469.-- incl. VAT (462/505 EUR or 542/593$) regularly, which is more in line with the international prices, but i assume that's because it's newer.

Nintendo switch lite widely available ( at least to Nintendo eshops) in europe big five and somewhat in benelux. 219 average price vat included (with animal crossing).
Still no stock in my country!

Currently in Germany, you can buy the turquoise colored Switch Lite for €170, taxes and shipping included. If you don't mind an open package (verified return to the shop), you can get a new Switch Lite for €154:

Other colors for €180 - €190.

Is it refurbised? How is it explained?

Might be a Japan import, simple lite  costs just 107 euros there(19980 yen). Is it allowed in Germany to buy from Japan, if so , what are the shipping costs?

It's not a Japan import, Galaxus is a swiss online shop that also operates in Germany and i can just assume, that their prices are somewhat in line with the ones in Switzerland. In the swiss shop the same lite is 173.- CHF as a new product, which would be roughly 188.- EUR.
