Its official Kadokawa approached SONY. They are asking SONY to buy every part of them.

Sony getting kadowkawa means they will also be acquiring spike chunsoft, which could potentially mean no more Pokémon mystery dungeon and other games (at least not for Nintendo)

Big sad

What is preventing them from releasing Demons Souls and Bloodborne on PC?You think them buying Kadokawa that would become more or less likely?

Possibly more likely for either a Bloodborne remaster or sequel if the deal goes through. The hold up now for those PC ports is because they only have one PC porting studio in Nixxes and they always have projects lined up for them so it's basically they get to it when they get to it type stuff.

No, it has no impact.

Chances are, the reason why these ports don't exist yet has more to do with resources.

A bunch of Sony's PC ports were farmed out. The God of War PC started about 2 years after the game came out, and then the port took 2 years to do, and that would have been a high priority job, seeing as the PS4 version sold like 20 million copies.

For Bloodborne, Sony would want to do a remaster most likely, if not a "remake".

I have no idea who would be handling a Demon's Souls port or a Bloodborne remaster + port. Could be the case that Bluepoint is handling a lot of that themselves, and I imagine they'd be stretched pretty thin.

Sony and Nintendo are making a Zelda movie together. I can imagine these studio's still making Nintendo games. Or who knows perhaps the employees just move to Nintendo or Gamefreak.

Appears Sony is only expanding their stake in Kadokawa to 10%.

Nintendo should buy 11% just to screw with Sony

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

$320M to get to 10%.
Sounds great for Kadokawa but bad for Sony unless that deal is granting them a lot of benefits.
That's a lot of money for 0 control.
