Saw it already saturday but assumed somebody else would make a post or there would be an article, since that didn't happen I'm sharing it even if it's a bit late since I don't want people to miss out on one of the best games ever. Only a few hours left though.

I completely missed this. I've added the game to my Steam library. I previously owned the game in The Orange Box on the Xbox 360. I've got an article up now. 

Half Life 2 (and EP 1/EP2/Lost Coast/Portal) was the first game I ever added to Steam, thanks to the Orange Box requiring it on PC. That one purchase kicked off something special.

Don't we need episode 3 first before half life 3?

They confirmed Episode 3 was cancelled in the documentary. But with how Half-Life: Alyx ended, I suppose they could try to complete the episodic trilogy rather than releasing an entirely new game. 

Because going from Half-Life 1 to 2 told completely different stories. I guess it wouldn't make much sense to continue the story of HL2 in a supposed HL3.

Gabe definitely gave a little tease there at the end of the documentary though.

I played Half-Life 1 (non-source) years ago and didnt like it.

I should play the Source version and this one too.

I doubt you would like the source version more but who knows. There's also Black Mesa which is a fanmade remake of 1 that's one of the best remakes ever. Valve themselves have basicly acknowledged it.
