Forums - Gaming Discussion - Games that came back from the dead?

I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 patch now on PS5 and it pulled a no man's sky, this is not the same game it was at launch. It's improved significantly and lime no man's sky took a 7 outta 10, partly broken game that didn't fulfill on promises and improved itself to a 10 (from what I can see so far in the first 7 hours).

So, it got me wondering is there any other games out there that I should check back in on? Is there any other games that were rough diamonds now cut and polished or are these two cases unique?

Someone said Battlefeild 2047 but I can't see it in that.

Final Fantasy XIV, an utterly broken mess about a decade behind the times upon its initial release, before it was basically remade from the ground up and became one of the most successful MMOs of all time.

Street Fighter 5 was bad at launch and... eh, decent enough after a few seasons. Same with Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Worth trying out? Better than DB FighterZ?

Nah, I'd go play SF6 instead. UMVC3 might be worth checking out but the few people left playing these games online are really dedicated enthusiasts.

Yeah, so no chance of winning against them. Ya have to be early for fighters when the casuals are still there.

Sea of Thieves comes to mind. Incredibly barebones that I gave up on after a week, but numerous expansions, and 40 million players later before it even reached PS5, it’s become Rare’s biggest game in the company’s history.

Some claim Fallout 76 has gotten a lot better. I haven't tried it though.

Zelda kinda? SS performed rather poorly, but then BotW sent it to highs never seen before.

Wow, that's impressive. Do you need friends to have fun with it?
