Man, going into games now that doesn't have it is such a let down. Especially racers, I bought a little drift racer for 2 euro on sale and it said PS5 so I assumed the triggers would be haptic. I a ps5 game doesn't guarantee haptic or trigger support. 😞

I didn't find it game-changing, but it was really cool. Especially while playing Gran Turismo. Once you play that franchise with those triggers, you really have trouble going back. And that's coming from a reto-mostly gamer.

Yes. I already prefer it over my wheel which has no force feedback. That's akin to a controller being chosen over K&M for shooters. What's your definition of game changing though? 🤔 Like it actually makes change the games, or some of them, shooters and and racers. You mentioned GT so let's go with that, it allows you to know when you're clipping the curb and that alone (obviously there are more examples) is changing how you play the game, in which case in a positive direction allowing you to get tighter route on tracks and help with practice.

My definition of game-changing would be something like the original joystick, directional buttons, shoulder buttons, analog sticks, rumble and wireless controllers. Touch controls should have been, but ever since they were introduced, they have been an after-thought with developers, so it didn't happen.

I would consider this akin to say, the dual shock, insomuch as it took what was already there and improved upon it in a drastic way.

For anyone who still uses a PS2. You can use an 8Bitdo PS2 adapter to use the Dual Sense wireless on it. I'm sure most know by now but in case you didn't. Plug the dual sense via USB to a PS3 and can use it on PS3. However the homebutton doesn't work.

I actually ordered the PS1/PS2 8bitdo adapter just 2 days ago, lol, but it's coming from China and it may take a while to get to me.

Stellar Balde uses the triggers for it's mini game and has made the first fishing mini game I've actually enjoyed. It's fun just catching fish, never seen that before I usually go fishing in RPG's because it ties into some cooking mechanic and tied to trophies or something, here I'm actually enjoying catching the individual fish, all because of the way the controller and triggers engage you. This tech is no gimmick, it's the start of something revolutionary.
