perhaps even an electric shock vibration like in a dog collar when you take secere damage.. maybe I'm thinking too big.

So they should use the PainStation technology? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PainStation

Or should they go all in at "world domination" pain level?

Those old arcade machines that you used to have to hold onto to win, just like in bond but at a much smaller scale and target at less skin. A bullet hits you from the left and zap, your right hand palm gets a micro second sharp vibration shock, obviously with a slider for intensity. I think it'd be sick. There's a lot they could do, perhaps add it to the face buttons and this would also enhance games, keep you on your toes in a shooter and train the brain that getting hit is a bad thing, it'd encourage more tactical play. I'm playing Xdefinlant right now and I'd be less likely to throw myself at bullets if I was gonna get a shock. Perhaps it's going to far with that one but other stuff I'd like to see the face buttons be made maliable and get the same treatment as the triggers, I'd reckon that'd be more impressive vibration wise and back to good old push sensitive buttons too.

No just hall effect sticks. A better Dpad and a better battery life and stop stealth increasing the price of Dual Sense.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

I say bring on the full haptic suits for VR and all, sure why not, add the shocks to the sensitive parts of the body like the nipples and crotch region, simulate a kick in the balls I'd go that far for immersion. A boxing game where you feel the punches as if you were actually getting hit, nothing that would break a rib or anything but a forceful blow that might wind you. I want it all. I wanna feel the bullets where they hit my avatar in game. I wanna feel my body get mangled in a car wreck. I wanna feel the fall damage after jumping off a cliff. I wanna feel the wind as spiderman moves through the air. I wanna feel everything.

Comparing playing GT7 on PS4 and PS5 (which I did a lot of, switching back and forth since online is split and half the people I regularly raced with stayed on PS4) it is definitely a huge enhancement. On PS5 I can tell what kind of kerb or edge the wheels are touching, while on PS4 it feels the same. You can also feel the transmission, as well as traction through the triggers.

So yes it's sort of game changing as racing on PS4 I rely on the sound (turn up the tire squeal) to drive on the 'edge' while on PS5 I can do it without sound.

More feedback is always good. Even the simple headset rumble (PSVR2) is missed when not used. Haptic feedback is great.

Yep, Racers and shooter are definitely being enhanced. Even Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 feels more punchy to play because of it, though. I suppose the definition of game changing varies from person to person.

Oh, and they have it in the headset? What's it do?

It's basic rumble, not haptic but with varying intensity. It rumbles when you turn it on which is always satisfying feedback. And it rumbles when you get hit, especially when you hit your head in certain games. Or when there is an explosion. Just an added layer of immersion.

Haptic body suits are coming, but if they'll ever reach gaming dunno

People already find putting a headset on too much effort!

Here is a vest that works with PSVR2 (conclusion not worth the price)

Rofl vest rumble packs are back? Damn takes me back to the SNES days but 30 years of advancement I'd say that new one is a tad better lol

I would love to try that Tens suit. I use a Tens machine for deep muscle relaxation, it's pretty powerful and can create a lot of resistance. Turn it up to max can be quite painful too. It can easily simulate feedback when picking up something heavy in VR.

Of course first you need a body in VR and full body tracking before that can even be started on. For now you're just a floating head. (Pretty immersion breaking in Pistol Whip where the bullets can freely pass through your 'body' just need to move your head out of the way)

Depends on the game, but the way Astro utilises Dualsense, I would say Dualsense is a great future.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Nah, not a game changer imho. It’s nice in some games but not that big a deal. I think the two games I noticed it in the most were Returnal and Horizon 2.

It's pretty well used in Cyperpunk, The Witcher 3 and Rachet and Clank too. The triggers in R&C are used to wild effect.
