Did check the fan vote and Astrobot and all Indie games are gone. Maybe 10% of the vote is enough for gamers...

yeah that's complete trash. Players' Choice at TGA is prolly going to a gacha game anyways, knowing how they will bribe players (with like $2 of in-game currency) into voting.

Genshin Impact is likely better than any other game there on the voting.

But the open votes will go to Wukong, some of the PC community is taking it as a "PC win" if the game wins and are heavily voting for it when presented the chance.

Popular vote advocates, is this your utopia?

If Wukong hadn't been there, I wonder if DnF: Origin would have made it...

With all the awards starting to come in (from other publications), here’s my final prediction: Astro Bot will win GotY at TGA, and will be the winningest game among all releases from this year. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the only game I saw as having the ability to snipe Astro’s chances, but it hasn’t been receiving any awards. (Not even in the top five most winningest games so far.) Though maybe I’ll be surprised.

It's already 2025, isn't it?
Yes, I just want to remind everyone that Astrobot won overwhelmingly here.

(Semi-)Finalized results here.

Nice they are keeping up a thread about it out there.

Death Stranding winning more GOTY awards than Sekiro is blasphemy.

Apparently there was some drama with the person responsible for running GotY Tracker during 2019-2022. Dude was really big on Sony, not much of a fan of FromSoft. Once Elden Ring started its unprecedented tear for GotY awards over GoW:R, the dude quit the tracker.

People have called into question the authenticity of the tracker from 2019 & 2020 in particular, noting that many awards given to the SEI winners come from now defunct sites. Upon having recounted the 2022 awards, for instance, around 35 awards had to be dropped, GoW:R losing a majority of them, and Elden Ring actly gaining a few somehow. Being that Sekiro was supposedly in the lead up until this guy took over the tracker, it would not surprise me if the counter was rigged that year. Same could be said abt TLoU:Pt2 having been potentially inflated.
