Lol why does Mario Jamboree have the largest opening of any 2024 release in JP?

Xbox stock arrived.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Sony will have to do something in Japan, it is not possible that they are happy with these sales figures. The price of the ps5 is very high, if the production cost is high they will have to subsidize this amount. I'm predicting that the price of switch 2 will be $400 and it will sell less than switch 1

I'm expecting $400 for Switch2 too. But if they keep it at that price for the next 8 years it starts to look a good price over time.

When the Switch launched at $300, same price as PS4 slim in 2017, people thought Nintendo was crazy. Now it looks like the 'value' option.

Let's assume net sales on Mario party are $30 a copy (FX-rates, local VAT taxes, retail-cuts, etc), then it would bank $30 million with 1 million copies sold.
I do not think a Mario Party game takes $30 million to make. And they are going to sell a lot more than 1 million copies.

This franchise is a money printing machine.

3th best week 42 in its 8th year. Crazy really for NSW.

Hitting the 3.0 million YTD looks ever more likely.

NSW has been on a rampage in JP ever since the PS5 price hike. Curious to see how it’ll perform during the holiday. My guess is maybe a little above 2023 numbers? Not sure. Certainly seems realistic NSW’24 will outperform NSW’17&’18.
