Its possible. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo will try to maintain any mindshare next year until the launch of the Switch 2.

So...looks like NSW2 now has an "earliest possible release date": March 28st, 2025. Seems we'll be keeping NSW for the remainder of this fiscal year, not too surprising.

I actually think September 2025 is the likely release date of the Switch 2 now. I think they will fill out first half of 2025 with ports and remasters, maybe the rumored FE4 remake will be released first half of 2025 as well. We will get a Switch 2 first reveal in January-March 2025 and a full Switch 2 presentation in may/june.

I think XCX in late March supports my Fall prediction. A port that works as a stopgap while waiting on Switch 2. Maybe another easy port in late spring/summer like Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD. Metroid Prime 4 could also release in Spring, but I wont be surprised if they delay it a couple of months to make it a cross-platform release (day 1 for Switch 2).

yeah, I’m actly reading that again: “many more titles before launch.” We’re not gonna be seeing this system anytime soon… this reads to me as “several more months going into F’26”, which means not April, May, June, nor July. (And at that point, they might as well push the system to October/November.)

Yeah its a bummer. But historically Nintendo consoles always come out way later than they originally planned because of software issues. That is the problem Nintendo has that Playstation and Xbox doesn't have, Nintendo is so dependant on having big launch games to make a splash, and if the games aren't ready the whole console release is delayed. They probably wish they had their competitors ability to coast on third party support only when they launch a new console.

I'm thinking with the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles X, the probability just increased by a good amount. A possible date is March 20 with XCX being a cross-gen launch title.

Well October is over and it didn't happen so that's now it until January unless it randomly happens this weekend or on Monday since the investors meeting is on the 5th and they're not gonna reveal it shortly after that. It's unfortunate they're waiting as long as possible to show it off but at least it's still close.
