It's getting very hard to buy audio CDs I want here in Canada. Stores have a selection of less than a dozen (EDM), Amazon doesn't stock them and if 3rd party sellers have any they sell them for CAD 80+ ...

I tried ordering from Belgium as that's where the current hottest scene is (Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens) but they don't deliver here and it's mostly Vinyl nowadays (or MP3). Record players in the car are a thing of the past:

1950s 1960s and no LP. I don't like MP3, I'm still rocking audio CD.

UK to the rescue, they do deliver here. Takes a while, add 30 pounds for delivery, still less per CD than buying in a store here...

Adding to my CD collection:

I went to my moms this past weekend and picked up my grandma's now old TV that had a built in VCR and DVD player that's been in her garage for over 10 years now. I decided to take it as she's finally wanting to empty the garage. Even if just for nostalgia's sake. Shen then pulled out 7 huge boxes filled with VHS tapes and DVDs. Many of which I haven't seen in YEARS. It was nostalgia overload lol. Put in several movies not knowing if they would still work, and thankfully all of worked flawlessly.

I'm thinking about picking up some movies I wanted growing up, but my mom never bought lol

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

I went down a bit of a rabbit hole and bought the Blu-Ray collections for Batman Animated Series (comes with Mask of the Phantasm and SubZero movies) Batman Beyond (comes with Return of the Joker movie) and Superman: The Animated Series lol. I have been instructed by the Mrs that is all I can get for right now probably for the best!

Hopefully you got it on somewhat of a sale.

Batman is regularly like $50, but it goes on sale for like $30 (and I think I've seen it for less).

Really cool announcement

Collected more anime (Naruto, Tonikawa, ), Looney Tunes, and some bigger movies (Superman, Lilo and Stitch, Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, Spider-verse 1 and 2)

Shout Factory has a pretty incredible sale right now.

I've bought 7 or 8 movies.

I started a five-week vacation on the 2nd of October and bought some goodies to watch during that time. However, prices on 4K blu ray around are insane, and most outlets have rather poor selections. In addition, my vacation has become anything but, since I was hit with kidney stones to help me rest and recover from a long period of tough work (yay!).

Anyhow, this is what I got lately:

Westworld Complete Series (spectacular 4K release, both sound and image are stellar).

Jurassic Park 1-3 box

Back to the Future trilogy - I had no choice since this is the 40th anniversary of the first movie!

Indiana Jones 1-4 (yes number four is a poor comparison to the first three, but I had no choice). Been having some playback issues on The Last Crusade, it's probably a Dolby Atmos issue (I've had many of those).

The Sixth Sense

All Quiet on the Western Front, easily the best war movie I saw since Saving Private Ryan

Terminator 1 and 2 - yes, I know the transfer of the sequel is supposed to be quite poor, but at least it's not True Lies!

Master and Commander

The Truman Show

Lawrence of Arabia - it's finally available again! Got mine for about 45$ now, rather than the 120-150$ used ones from the previous, limited release.

I'm planning on getting these movies and shows next:

Arcane season 1 and 2

2001: A Space Odyssey (there's an excellent Kubrick box available now, with five amazing movies, I think I'll go for it, it also has Barry Lyndon)

Spartacus (the 1960s version)

Schindler's List

The Abyss

Event Horizon

Demolition Man

Dark City

Kingdom of Heaven

Apocalypse Now

Pulp Fiction

The Expanse complete series

Gomorrah complete series

I finished re-watching all of Game of Thrones last week, it's still an amazing show. The final two seasons are a steep drop-off, but still enjoyable. Season six is a lot better than I remembered, I think I may have gotten it stuck in my brain that it was shit due to so many claiming so.
Watched Fellowship of the Ring last night, and I'm watching The Two Towers tonight, and finishing with Return of the King tomorrow night! Overall, kidney stones are best enjoyed with great movies and shows.

I have the 25th anniversary box on Blu-ray and the 35th anniversary box on 4K UHD, so I'm good for now.

But I was in the BTTF Musical three weeks ago. And it was awesome! Great Scott, it was heavy!
