I don't see the point in buying a next generation console to play it on cheap panel. Like buying a sports car but putting bald tires on it.

In my opinion, the current graphical quality and performance levels have yet to reach a point where they truly make me exclaim 'WOW.' As it stands, I'm still waiting for that moment of complete satisfaction. While the PS5 Pro marks a step forward, it's not quite enough for me to say we've achieved the graphical fidelity I envision. I would be incredibly disappointed if Sony or Microsoft decided to compromise on graphical advancements to prioritize portable devices or similar hardware.
I believe that by the time the PS6 or the next Xbox generation arrives, we may finally reach a level where I can feel content. A standard of gaming that consistently delivers stunning visuals at 60fps would start to meet my expectations.

Not wont settle for it, but I think it is beneficial for the industry.
It seems that the compromise with visual fidelity has made the development time take too long, so less games release in the same time frame, and some have to fill the droughts with some remasters, and some studios dont release games an a certain pace, leading to layoffs.
Also, cheaper consoles, more people accessing them.
Sony games are pretty much graphical lookers while also being pretty much polished and finished (not always perfect).
So no compromise needed. Keep pushing.
Yes, I would and I think the average gamer stopped caring about graphics probably with the last gen.
btw - I'd definitely settle for no graphics improvement if that meant getting more games!
I too think that PS4 level graphics are more than enough.
4k+ and ever increasing detail is slowly turning them unrealistic again.
I also much prefer 60$ as the "high end price" over 80$.
Heck, I think big publishers/developers should focus much more on 40$ ~ 50$ games instead of 60$+
I'd be fine with less polished/shorter games if prices would go down.
Every other game being 50h+ is too long anyways. You either play 5-10 games a year because you simply dont have more time
or you'll abandon them and half your collection will take a one-way-trip to the graveyard (pile) of shame
Considering 99% of my gaming is on systems that are at least twenty-four-years old... I wouldn't give a hoot if the next generation of consoles' games looked the same as this gens. If it meant we'd go back to the days of wild innovation and creativity, you could come out with something on par with Dreamcast, and I'd be clicking my heels with joy lol.

There is stuff coming out that's really creative, you just have to look for it and wade through a lot of crap to get to it. Dave the Diver as one example off the top of my head, Kunisu- Gami as another recent one.... Belatro. I've a thread here on genre bending games that gives many examples of creativity, I'd say it more creative these days and it's a sight harder to do innovation when everything's already been done, they found it easy to innovate back in the day simply cuase most of the obvious stuff hadn't been done.
There's already a system that caters to that audience. It's the best-selling one.

Agreed. Steam.
