Xbox 360 consoles grew 38%, outselling every competing console in the U.S. for each of the past four months.

Xbox 360 shipments are up 38% from the same quarter last year.

That figure is USA only.

Edit: Whoops not it isn't. USA sales are up 70% in that period. So it is worldwide. Article time then.

Jul-Sep 2009  = 2.1 million
Jul-Sep 2010  = 2.9 million (up 38% y/y)

The powerpoint slide doesn't specify a particular region, so I'm assuming it means worldwide.

I agree. NPD had the USA figures for X360 at 1.284m in July - Sept 2010 vs. 0.771m in July-Sept 2009. Thats 67% growth, not 38% - so its a worldwide figure as outside the USA the Slim did not do as well.
