Yeah PS5's recent collapse in Japan is gonna making outselling the PS4 challenging. Not impossible though; I expect this generation to last longer than the 8th so it could make up for lost ground later on, helped by Xbox's downfall.

I do wonder how long until PS4 manufacturing is discontinued, or if it's happened already, as sales have been at a trickle for a long time now.

The collapse in Japan is not great, but I think the collapse in Europe will make it pretty much impossible.

I still think it could leg it out with an extra year or two on the market versus PS4; Sony won't be in a rush to move on to PS6 with development taking longer than ever, and graphics starting to reach the point where the leaps are less noticeable.

Around the Network

Before talking about collapses, I think we should wait and see, the Pro is doing well prior to launch and Sony can still do some temporary cuts.

But I think they'll do a Permanent cut when GTAVI launches.
