I would feel embarrased, if someone seen me play a kid focused game...

Am I just insecure or do others feel shameful embarrassing feelings when booting up something in this range, let's say Minecraft for example which is essentially digital Lego but is a game designed for every age and is an extremly zen, meditative experience. Alas, some people think playing any game at all is a child's pursuit so... thoughts and are you ashamed to have Trophy/achievement pop for games like this?

Not embarrassed, but at times bored.

Most Harry Potter fans are in their 20s to 30s, though. The franchise is still not old enough for it to have been passed on to that generation's children.

Hence why HL was a game that placed you late in school as opposed to at the beginning.

Well I dont really play games in public since Im not big into handhelds, but I feel like Zelda and Astrobot and games like that are kid friendly. Not really kid games. Kid games would be like games that teach you to read and write for example.

Nah, lol. I was ashamed just watching this cause of the narrator, I'd nearly put in headphones for directs althoughI don't play Nintendo games as of late...

That's not just kid friendly, it's a kids game. C'mon.

Exactly. How they handled it was perfect. I was surprised by how dark some of the themes and gameplay became. Turning people into exploding barrels and launching them to kill a group of people or cursing them and having them reel in agony. Despite it's upbeat tone for the most party you become the darkest wizard of all time in your first year of Hogwarts, single handedly killing an entire generation of Gobblins and slaughtering hundreds of men and women, no matter how safe you play the game. Sneak up on them, petrify and they still fall off a cliff, to there death. Lol.

Well I dont see it. I have been playing games like this all my life, so maybe Im not the best judge here, but I see this like I see Toy Story. A kid friendly piece of entertainment that can be enjoyed by anyone.

Not at all. I've enjoyed kid friendly games such as Lego City Undercover and My Sims Agents. They can be a great break from the chaotic kill fest of so called 'mature' games.

To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.

I’m not embarrassed, but might be because the kid focused games I enjoy also offer challenge for more experienced players. Back in the 80s and 90s, practically all kid focused games were hard as balls

So playing games like Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart, or Splatoon while kid focused, still have highly skilled modes or levels so advanced players don’t get too bored.

No...? I just play what I want and don't really care about what others think.
