What I say happened. Some people on the forum had hallucinated the fact that the admin would say that and had pointed the finger at him for it. I think it was during the early years of the PS4. We all know the admin is an Xbox fanboy by the way. He has the right to be one, but stop pretending to be objective and neutral for two minutes.

Exact PS2 lifetime figures remain unknown and still fall in the same range as calculated many years ago. This is essentially non-news and also has no influence on any discussions regarding Switch vs. PS2 lifetime sales, because a rounded 160m figure has been the commonly acknowledged and accepted target all along. I don't think you understood ZhugeEx's tweet, it's really crazy at this level.

ZhugeEX has always said that the PS2 couldn't be 155 million and that it was probably closer to 160 than 155, he just tweeted to reaffirm that and explain to people who are still in denial like you.

Please highlight my denial in bold font then, because it looks like you didn't read my short post at all.

When I say that the admin of this site is an Xbox fanboy, I'm talking about William D'Angelo, as we all know. He's switched to PC now, no doubt because he was fed up with seeing Xbox being humiliated.

As for the article I'm talking about, I don't know if it was the same administrator at the time (since it dates back to the early PS4 period if I'm not mistaken). What I do remember is that members of this forum pointed the finger at the administrator and "his doubts". And I was thinking "Okay so, even Sony numbers are not enough now lol."

Does it matter at all if it ended up at 158,5m or at 161m ?

Common its a differnce of like 2,5m.
We have a minimum and a max.... and jim saying its somewhere in the middle, but past 160m.
And like others have said, who cares?

I swear on my life (no fingers crossed) that the administrator of this site at the time questioned Sony's figures and that some members of the forum reacted with astonishment.

Sorry I didn't record that moment with a camera. William D'Angelo should speak up a bit, were you the administrator at the time?

Yes, for sure. It's very unlikely we'll ever see that sort of dominance again. Even if the Switch squeaks past it, its marketshare won't be the same. I can vividly remember that E3, only a couple years into that gen, where Sony started off their presentation by saying, "The console wars are over." It was a drop-the-mic moment if there ever was one. Arrogant? Sure. But true. Nothing has lain waste to the competition like the PS2. It was the alpha and the omega.
