Its comeing to windows (steam I assume), playstation 5, Series S/X.

Hearing about their "restart" of the project, where tons of "old guard" devs left, and then lateron, a series of producers, takeing turns to leave...
Thats a high turnover rate.    The fact that combat is so changed, the look & feel (neon pink colours?), of the game isn't really what old Dragon Age was (it doesn't feel like its a true dragon age game).  I'm expecting this to be a 7 out of 10, and only because reviewers are generous with scores. Fan score, will be lower.

Dragon Age is going to be great, new devs, old devs, same shit (nostalgia aside). I go with a 88; what I saw from the Xbox showcase is looking pretty darn good to me.

It's time for the year's first tally for the Xbox League. I've decided to do them once per quarter moving forward, but since the first half of the year has been rather slow for Xbox exclusives we only have 1 game to tally up here at Q2, namely Hellblade II which ended up at a score of 81.

So after 1 game we currently have @VersusEvil at a pretty convincing first place at 11 points and @Chicho at second place with 6 points.

With only 7 games left will anybody be able to close the gap? Very unlikely, but we shall see.

First reviews are in for Age of Mythology: Retold and for now it's sitting at a score of 80 with 11 reviews. Lower than most predictions as well as the original game's 89 on Metacritic, but a decent score nontheless.

"Age of Mythology Retold is fun, don’t get me wrong. The visual overhaul alone is enough to make playing this 22-year-old game easier, and the quality-of-life improvements sand down some of the older versions’ more annoying edges. However, with more substantial structural improvements in later Age of Empires games, plus with the likes of Ara: History Untold just around the corner, I’m just not sure Retold needed to exist."

This review upset me greatly

Oh I totally forgot to look out for Ara: History Untold which has been out for a while with relatively middling score of 74 with 36 reviews. The closest predictor would be myself at 75, not bad. Not sure if the score has settled but I'll wait a couple days with tallying points here and on the PlayStation League since both have just gotten reviews in for a new game.

Bummed at the score as I was hoping Ara would turn out to be a solid competitor to Civilization. Should've known otherwise considering this is the first time this studio has worked on a game like this. I haven't been able to get around to it yet because I had to get through my backlog from the first half of September lol, but from what I've seen, the game has a solid foundation, but still needs further optimizations, reworks, and content. $60 was a big asking price too.

The quarter 3 point tally is done and what a result! In the number 1 spot we have @UnderwaterFunktown, mostly thanks to having an almost acurrate Ara: History Untold prediction where many got few or no points. I believe that's the first time I've been in an uncontested lead since I started hosting the League, but @VersusEvil is very hot on my tail with only 1 point less. Also worth noting is an impressive third place from @TheLegendaryBigBoss despite being down one prediction out of three.

Should be an interesting finale despite the few games we have.
