Netanyahu has become a ‘problem’: Denmark’s PM

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says Netanyahu “is now a problem in himself”, adding that she would try to put pressure on Israel over its war on Gaza as her country currently holds the EU presidency. Frederiksen also said the Israeli government was going “too far”.

The centre-right leader slammed the “absolutely appalling and catastrophic” humanitarian situation in Gaza and the new settlement project in the occupied West Bank. “We are one of the countries that wants to increase pressure on Israel, but we have not yet obtained the support of EU members,” she said.

Frederiksen added that she wanted to consider “political pressure, sanctions, whether against settlers, ministers or even Israel as a whole”. “We are not ruling anything out in advance. Just as with Russia, we are designing the sanctions to target where we believe they will have the greatest effect,” added Frederiksen, whose country is not among those that have said they will recognise a Palestinian state.

A. It's not just Netanyahu. Re-elections might pause the genocide, it won't end ethnic cleansing nor occupation nor land theft nor apartheid.
B. Excusing your inaction behind EU support while you are part of EU support is complicity in the genocide.
C. European countries can put sanctions on foreign countries without EU support.

The longer this goes on, the more were going towards an allied invasion as the only possible solution to stop Israel's Neo Nazism.

Zionism is an integral part of today’s Islamophobia

...

As Geert Wilders, leader of the largest party in the Dutch Parliament said ‘‘If Jerusalem falls into the hands of the Muslims, Athens and Rome will be next.’ Israel today is the beacon of light for European neo-Nazis and fascists. Julia needs to wake up both to the political changes in the Jewish community and the open embrace of fascism by a large section of the Zionist movement.

Denmark’s PM says time is not right to recognise Palestinian state

Frederiksen says that while Israel’s “continued and very violent behaviour in Gaza is unacceptable” and needs to be stopped, she does not believe the time is right to support a Palestinian state.

In a post on social media, the prime minister said that while Denmark supported the idea of a Palestinian state and a two-state solution, “we have an obligation to ensure that recognition of Palestine promotes what is right.”

“It should happen at a point when it really promotes a two-state solution,” Frederiksen said. That would entail “a sustainable and democratic state in Palestine without the influence of Hamas”, she added, noting that the group “does not recognise Israel’s right to exist”.

While true that Hamas doesn't recognize Israel as a state:

Hamas has also repeatedly accepted the 1967 borders in signed agreements (in 2005, 2006, and 2007) and in its 2017 charter.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/may/01/hamas-new-charter-palestine-israel-1967-borders

Hamas has unveiled a new political programme softening its stance on Israel by accepting the idea of a Palestinian state in territories occupied by Israel in the six-day war of 1967.

The new document states the Islamist movement it is not seeking war with the Jewish people – only with Zionism that drives the occupation of Palestine. The new document also insists that Hamas is a not a revolutionary force that seeks to intervene in other countries, a commitment that is likely to be welcomed by other states such as Egypt.

Denmark is fully complicit, hiding behind 'EU support' and Israeli lies.

Israeli forces launch arrest campaigns across occupied West Bank

The Israeli army has stormed the occupied West Bank towns of Awa and Bani Naim in the Hebron governorate, launching an arrest campaign against Palestinian residents over recent hours.

In Hableh, south of Qalqilya, and the Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah, Israeli forces have also launched raids and arrests. In al-Dhaher, south of Hebron, Israeli soldiers fired live bullets as they stormed homes. There has also been a raid reported in Kafr Dan, west of Jenin.

Four Palestinians wounded in Israeli settler attack

Four Palestinians have been wounded in an attack by Israeli settlers north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. The attack took place near Halhul, the location of a previous attack by settlers earlier this month amid an escalation in such attacks in the occupied West Bank.

Settlers burn Palestinian vehicles in West Bank

Sources have told Al Jazeera that Israeli settlers have burned Palestinian vehicles in the Sa’i plain, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Earlier today, we reported that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Karmei Tzur, under the protection of Israeli forces, attacked Palestinians from Halhul, north of Hebron, throwing stones and issuing threats.

Israeli settlers issue forced eviction notice to family east of Bethlehem

Israeli settlers stormed the Khallet Umm al-Hasan area near Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, and threatened a Palestinian with a 24-hour forced eviction notice.

The secretary of the Fatah Movement in Kisan village, Ahmed Ghazal, told Wafa news agency that a group of settlers raided the home of Nassar Rashaida, threatening to burn down the house, built in the shape of a tent with an aluminium roof, and attack his family if he did not leave.

Ghazal explained that settlers had demolished Rashaida’s house, which was built of brick and concrete, nearly a month ago.

He added that the village and the Khallet Umm al-Hasan area are constantly subjected to repeated attacks by Israeli settlers, including raids on homes, attacks on farmers and attempts to seize land – under the protection of the Israeli forces.

Israeli settlers raid Palestinian tents in northern Jordan Valley

In further settler violence in the occupied West Bank, a number of armed Israeli settlers have raided tents belonging to a Palestinian man in al-Farisiyah village, Wafa news agency is reporting.

The agency said that settlers had previously raided the man’s tents several days ago, assaulting his sons and leaving one with bruises requiring hospitalisation.

Israeli forces storm towns and villages in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have deployed in a number of villages and towns in the Ramallah and el-Bireh governorate in the occupied West Bank.

Local and security sources told Wafa that troops stormed the towns of Birzeit and Abu Shkheidam, the village of Burham, the town of Silwad to the east, the town of Kobar and the village of Kafr Ein.

Israeli soldiers kill Palestinian teenager after settler attack on West Bank village

An 18-year-old Palestinian boy has been shot and killed by Israeli soldiers in the al-Mughayyir village in the occupied West Bank’s Ramallah, where settlers had attacked hours earlier.

The Wafa news agency cited the Palestinian Health Ministry in Ramallah as confirming his death after succumbing to injuries in a hospital.

The head of the local village council said Israeli forces stormed the village and shot the boy in the back before assaulting him.

Israel’s war on Gaza could ‘end tomorrow’: Israel’s former justice minister

Yossi Beilin, a former justice minister of Israel, says that the war on Gaza could “end tomorrow” if the Palestinian Authority were to enter Gaza and replace Hamas.

He told Al Jazeera by video link from Tel Aviv that if Hamas released the Israeli captives, “then nothing will continue as it is today”.

When pressed on the fact that Hamas has offered to release all of the remaining captives in ceasefire negotiations and that Netanyahu and his cabinet have stalled such a move for political reasons, Beilin said “let us test him … if Hamas tomorrow say OK … we want only peace … and we are releasing the hostages, let us see if Netanyahu is able to say no.”

“Palestinians are suffering, no question. Israelis are suffering, no question. Let’s put an end to it,” he said.

Am I crazy? Hamas offers A, Netanyahu rejects. Belin: If Hamas offers A, let us see if Netanyahu rejects. ???

Anyway it's not about the hostages, Netanyahu already has repeatedly stated his impossible conditions for ending the genocide (basically by completing it)

https://www.jns.org/netanyahu-lays-out-principles-for-victory-and-ending-hamas-war/

“One week ago, I convened the Cabinet and we set five principles for ending the war,” Netanyahu said in Hebrew remarks, referencing the Aug. 8 decision to order the military to take control of Gaza City.

Netanyahu went on to list the five conditions for victory, including the full disarmament of Hamas; the return of all 50 remaining hostages kidnapped on Oct. 7, 2023; the demilitarization of the entire Strip; security control of Gaza by the Israel Defense Forces; and establishing “an alternative civilian administration” in the enclave.

Israel needs to be demilitarized. That's the only way for peace to come to the region.

Israel announces plan to forcibly relocate Palestinians to southern Gaza

Israel has announced preparations to forcibly evacuate Palestinians from “combat zones” to southern Gaza from tomorrow. The army’s Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the move would be based on directives from the “political level”.

“The provision of tents and shelter equipment for the residents of the sector will be renewed. The equipment will be transported through the Kerem Shalom [Karem Abu Salem] crossing by the United Nations and international relief organisations after undergoing thorough inspection by personnel from the Land Crossings Authority affiliated with the Ministry of Defense,” Adraee wrote on X.

The announcement comes a week after the government approved controversial plans to seize Gaza City.

Protesters demand end to UK cooperation with Israel at air force base

Several hundred people demonstrated around the British Royal Air Force base in High Wycombe, southeastern England to demand an end to military cooperation between the UK and Israel and ongoing British support for Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

Protesters carried banners and chanted slogans accusing the British government of complicity in the “genocide of the Palestinian people”, emphasising the need for an immediate ban on arms exports to Israel and stopping any military or intelligence participation in the attacks.

Former Israeli army chief to join families of captives protest on Sunday

Former Israeli army chief of staff has announced he will join the families of captives at their protest tomorrow to call on the government to return those held in Gaza, Israeli news outlet Haaretz reported.

Gadi Eizenkot called on “all those for whom the Israeli ethos and the values of Judaism are dear” to take part in the protest.

Last month, Eizenkot resigned from his seat in the Knesset after saying that the past 22 months of Israel’s war on Gaza had achieved none of the government’s war goals, and Prime Minister Netanyahu’s “lack of leadership and refusal to make difficult decisions, out of personal and political considerations, are dragging Israel into the abyss”.

Israeli forces fire at local officials in southern Lebanon district

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reports from the Hasbaya district in the southern part of the country that Israeli forces opened fire on local officials earlier today.

It said the mayor of a locality in the area “miraculously survived” after being targeted by machinegun fire coming in from Israeli positions while accompanying another local official.

The area is close to the border with Israel. The Israeli army, which continues to carry out assassinations and bombings on Lebanese soil despite a ceasefire reached with Hezbollah last year, has not commented.

NNA also reported earlier today that an Israeli drone flew at low altitudes over several areas in the Nabatieh and Marjayoun districts in southern Lebanon. It said an Israeli helicopter dropped a sound bomb on the town of Ramya in Tyre as well, without any injuries reported.

Israeli forces raid Kafr Dan, set fire to house in the occupied West Bank

Israeli forces set fire to a house in the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources told Wafa that Israeli forces set fire to the home of the Abu Sultan Abed family after raiding and searching it. Troops also stormed the town of Kafr Dan, deployed their vehicles in the streets, and fired live ammunition.

Israeli forces storm village south of Hebron

Israeli forces have stormed the village of Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, sources on the ground told our colleagues.

The raid comes after reports of Israeli forces storming the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, and setting fire to a house.

US mediating for ethnic cleansing

US mediates between Israel and UN over notorious GHF: Report

The US has been reportedly mediating between Israel and the UN over the so-called GHF, the entity set up by Israel and the US to exclude the UN and international organisations from the aid delivery process to Gaza.

UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told Israel’s Haaretz newspaper that UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Joyce Musa met with White House envoy Steve Witkoff and his close confidant Aryeh Lightstone last Tuesday.

Msuya was quoted as describing the meeting as “constructive”, focusing on the “dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and the need to scale up desperately needed aid”.

Last week, another meeting was reportedly held with UN representatives, which included Johnny Moore, the evangelical leader close to Trump who is acting as the executive chairman of the GHF.

The UN’s Dujarric emphasised that the organisation has not changed its fundamental stance towards the GHF, and that its staff can only work with entities that “operate based on the international humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality, independence and humanity”.

Hamas says former Israeli official’s comments on killing 50 Palestinians proof of ‘genocidal ideology’

Hamas says the former Israeli intelligence chief comments that 50 Palestinians should be killed for the death of one Israeli during the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, was “an explicit admission of the occupation’s genocidal ideology”.

“The confessions reveal that the crimes of the occupation were the result of high-level decisions and official policy from the leadership of the criminal Nazi entity. These Nazi statements place the international community before its responsibility to hold the leaders of the occupation accountable for the crimes of genocide,” Hamas said in a statement.

Israeli news outlet Channel 12 reported leaked recordings of Major General Aharon Haliva, who said that killing 50 Palestinians was “necessary for future generations” as a deterrence.

He added that “they [Palestinans] need a Nakba every now and then to feel the price,” referring to the 1948 forced displacement of more than 700,000 Palestinians.

And we're already past 50 x 1139, even in the official (undercounted) death toll. The evidence of intent is overwhelming at this point.

Israel reiterates return of all captives, disarming of Gaza as ceasefire conditions

Netanyahu’s office has reiterated that Israel will agree to a ceasefire deal on the condition that all the hostages are released at the same time, following reports of renewed pressure from the mediators Qatar, Egypt and the US for a pause in fighting.

In a statement, the prime minister’s office said agreeing to a deal would take place in line with their conditions to end the war, including “disarming of Hamas, the demilitarisation of the Gaza Strip, Israeli control of the Gaza perimeter, and the installation of non-Hamas and non-Palestinian Authority governance that will live in peace with Israel.”

The Israeli news outlet, the Times of Israel, reported yesterday, citing an Israeli official and an Arab diplomat, that Hamas negotiators in Cairo had signalled a willingness to retreat from demands the group made to secure a ceasefire during the last round of talks in July.

Moreover, Channel 12 also reported on Friday that Netanyahu had recently received a “dramatic” document from a “professional” source involved in the negotiations, which expressed Hamas’s willingness to reach a partial deal.

Basically surrender to full occupation, tighten the open air prison, which will only lead to another Oct 7 in the long run.

Senior ultra-Orthodox rabbi attacks Netanyahu over army service legislation

Yitzhak Yosef, a top rabbi in Israel, has lambasted the ultra-Orthodox leaders in the country for listening to Benjamin Netanyahu and not introducing a law that would exempt Haredi students from serving in the military when the prime minister was first forming his far-right government.

“You believe him? He is an atheist. You trust someone like that?” Yosef said about Netanyahu during a speech broadcast by Israeli media.

The former Sephardic chief rabbi and current member of the rabbinic leadership council of the Shas party claimed that the military police mainly arrest Sephardic deserters, and instructed ultra-Orthodox men not to open their doors to the military police.

Israel’s Supreme Court has ruled that the military exemptions for the ultra-Orthodox must end, and Netanyahu’s delaying of passing legislation in support of the Haredi has led to affiliated parties exiting the coalition.

Israeli protesters denounce military plans to seize Gaza in Tel Aviv rally

Several family members of Israelis held captive in Gaza and soldiers killed in the enclave have addressed the large rally in Tel Aviv, calling for a comprehensive deal and a halt to military expansion in Gaza that they believe will endanger the captives.

“Force does not bring back hostages, force kills and has killed hostages. A deal brings back hostages. Bring them home, make one deal that brings them all back,” read a statement from the families released on social media.

Pushpa Bipin, sister of Nepalese student Joshi Bipin, who is held in Gaza, for the first time addressed the crowds for the first time while standing next to her mother, after making the long journey from Nepal.

“It took us 22 months to find the strength to come here. We were isolated in Nepal, separated by language, culture and fear. We focused on praying for him, but prayers are not enough,” she said.

What to know about Israel’s plans to seize Gaza City

  • Israel’s military says Palestinians in Gaza will be provided with tents and other shelter equipment, starting today, as part of the military’s plans to forcibly displace people to concentration zones in the south of the Strip.
  • The announcement comes days after the Israeli security cabinet approved a plan to take control of Gaza City, where more than a million people are sheltering.
  • Before that cabinet meeting, Netanyahu had told Fox News that he wanted Israeli forces to take full control of the entire Gaza Strip.
  • The Israeli plan has drawn widespread criticism, with the UN saying it “marks a dangerous escalation and risks deepening the already catastrophic consequences” for millions of Palestinians and the Israeli captives held by Hamas in Gaza.
  • There is little clarity about the plan, including how long any occupation of the city will last.
  • According to the UN, a “staggering” 86 percent of Gaza is already in Israeli-militarised zones or under displacement orders.

Israel kills six Palestinian aid seekers: Hospital sources

Our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting that at least six aid seekers have been killed and dozens injured by Israeli fire near the Morag axis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to sources at Nasser Medical Complex. At least 11 Palestinians have been killed across Gaza since morning.

Palestinians flee Zeitoun area in Gaza City amid escalating Israeli attacks

According to our local sources and witnesses in the area, the explosions have not stopped. Artillery shelling continues, and Palestinians are on the move due to intensified air raids and targeted attacks.

The Zeitoun neighbourhood is a very densely populated area, home to many families, including those who have been sheltering there. Residents were surprised when the artillery shelling and the intensive air raids started. Some people stayed. Others started moving.

However, as the violence escalated, many were forced to evacuate – hungry, devastated, and displaced yet again, leaving behind everything they had. Many Palestinians reported evacuating and fleeing while under artillery shelling and live fire from quadcopters.

Residential homes, government buildings, and public facilities have all been targeted by Israeli forces. This is clearly creating the same scenario that took place in Rafah, Beit Hanoon, and Beit Lahiya, where no place is left untouched in the neighbourhoods.

Israeli attack kills four in southern Gaza

Our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting that at least four people have been killed following an Israeli attack on tents housing displaced Palestinians west of Khan Younis, according to sources at Nasser Medical Complex. An unspecified number of people were also injured in the attack, the sources added.

Gaza war death toll rises

Israel has killed at least 47 Palestinians, including 14 aid seekers, and injured 226 in attacks across Gaza in the latest 24-hour reporting period, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza.

Nine bodies were also recovered from the rubble of previous Israeli attacks, the ministry said on Telegram. In the same period, at least seven people have starved to death, bringing the total count of hunger-related deaths to 258, including 110 children, the ministry said.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed 61,944 Palestinians and injured 155,886 since October 7, 2023, the ministry added.

The total number of aid seekers killed since May 27, the day Israel introduced a new aid distribution mechanism through the US-backed GHF, has reached 1,938 with more than 14,420 injured, the statement said.

Israeli forces kill 13 Palestinians near aid centres in Gaza

Sources at the Nasser Medical Complex say at least 13 Palestinians aid seekers have been killed today by Israeli forces near the Israeli-established Morag Corridor in southern Gaza and aid distribution centres.

The total number of aid seekers killed since May 27 when Israel introduced a new aid distribution mechanism through the US-based GHF has reached at least 1,924 with more than 14,288 injured, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Mourners take Palestinians killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza City for burial

Palestinians injured by aid airdrops in southern Gaza: Medical source

Palestinians have been injured by aid dropped from planes in the al-Mawasi area southwest of Khan Younis, our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting. The number has yet to be confirmed.

Aid agencies have said repeatedly that airdrops cannot deliver enough food to tackle a deepening hunger crisis facing Gaza’s more than two million inhabitants. They said Israel needs to open land crossings so trucks can bring in aid.

To meet the minimum to sustain a healthy population (as calculated by Israel), 1.86kg food per person per day (2,276 calories avg) you need 3,900t of food dropped per day (nearly 200 trucks). That's 390 C-130J flights daily, dropping 8,580 bundles, or in Israel/US math close to 5 million 'meals' a day. (2.5 meals per person per day sounds right)

https://www.airandspaceforces.com/biden-airdrops-aid-gaza-usaf/
The aircraft took off from Jordan and dropped 66 bundles—22 per aircraft—with over 38,000 meals ready to eat (MREs), senior administration officials told reporters. The U.S. airdrops occurred over southwest Gaza, a U.S. defense official told Air & Space Forces Magazine.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canadian-forces-humanitarian-aid-gaza-1.7601030 nearly 10t per C-130J
https://www.haaretz.com/2012-10-17/ty-article/.premium/israels-gaza-quota-2-279-calories-a-day/0000017f-e0f2-d7b2-a77f-e3f755550000

And then there's still water, medicine, shelter etc that's desperately needed. To air drop everything that's required, 1000 trucks a day to start halting the famine and reverse starvation, 20,000t of aid, 2,000 flights a day, 44,000 bundles dropping from the sky daily.

The trucks are ready to enter Gaza, air drops are just PR.

Some more PR

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/over-160-tons-of-aid-dropped-into-gaza-as-indonesia-denmark-join-international-mission/

That's 8 trucks, less than a 10th Israel lets in on avg by truck, less than 1% of what's needed to halt the famine.
