It's not on the list, but Mega Man 9 gets my nod for greatest game of 2008. It was the grand return of classic Mega Man after a 12-year absence, the last entry being 1996's Mega Man 8. MM9 saw the series go back to its 8-bit roots, and offered some of the most solid level design and boss fights in the series. A definite Top 5 entry in the Mega Man series.
