It's definitely not the same as Switch 1, mostly just cos DLSS is far superior than the standard TSSAA used in Switch 1 ports
This was Witcher 3 on Switch 1 for instance:

Compared to Outlaws on Switch 2:

It's that time of the year again?
Outlaws will be interesting to see how it looks and performs, as a game that requires RT to work at all. Anyway, as I said somewhere in the past, difference in performance from lowest to highest settings (in the same resolution) is around 4x. Direct comparisons can be found here (for best results use computer, maximized and select on both sides what settings you want to compare):

Talking comparatively to the other consoles. Not literally, Switch 1 levels of blur.

Ah okay.
There's always gonna be some level of downgrade when bringing a demanding home console game to a contemporaneous portable machine, as a 500g handheld device running off a battery can never compete with a 5kg box plugged into the mains.
Whether the cutbacks are worthwhile depends on the individual.

For AAA stuff, yeah, but I think like Switch 1. This system is better for mid-budget games. Some content will hide it fine, like cel-shaded games. HD 2D. I really just want to see Xenoblade on this thing. That should trick us into thinking it's punching above its weight.

AA stuff should fit more comfortably on it graphically due to the inherent limits of portable tech, but AAA ports like this still serve a purpose, for those who want to play these games on the go, or who don't own a PS5/XBS/Gaming PC.

lol, people talk shit and then get shown the receipts. That is a night and day difference.

DF is out of touch and for a tiny niche audience. Their average video is like 150k views, maybe 450k for larger game vids ... that's a laughably small amount of views. The broad audience is going to be fine with the visuals the Switch 2 can output and generally even impressed overall. They're like audiophiles who think you need a $10,000 home speaker system that consists of like 8 speakers in your living room. Most people will just buy a OK sound bar and call it a day. People are seeing things like the new WWE game on the Switch 2 looks pretty damn close to the PS5 version and is a massive upgrade on the last WWE game on the Switch 1.
