Forums - Nintendo - Switch 2 third party support - What should it be like?

Half of the reason for the lack of 3rd party on Switch was the uncertainty of the console, which delayed all projects until the console was proven to be a success. That won't happen to the Switch 2, so that will not be an issue, I hope. Then again, companies that should have invested a lot more on the Switch like Capcom or Atlus haven't (I'm still confused as to why Atlus went from pumping out loads of games to the 3DS to using the Switch to basically getting people to double dip their titles by releasing them years after other platforms), so I guess it's up in the air.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Third party devs kinda took some blind shot at working on Switch and didn't really invest a lot on it at the beginning until it was proven a success. So Some devs did find success making original games on Switch so i'm sure it will continue and maybe more early on. Also, the power factor is that with the rumoured 3.5 DLSS, the Switch will be able to have current gen games run pretty well, so it will make port easier.

I'm curious what happens with current games use DLSS/FSR.  Alan Wake 2 on current gen hardware is upscaling significantly in order to be playable.  Will Alan wake 2 be the new norm or a one off?
