Sticking with Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow. Of the other games in the run-off Tales of Symphonia would be my second choice, but did not play it until the PS3 version came out.
Votes were spread out among a variety of games this year, but there was one game that seemed to come out on top both in the first poll and the runoff. The 2003 Game of the Year is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and the runner up is Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

Solid gaming year. Tales of Symphonia is still one of my favorite RPGs. That wins #1 for me.
F-Zero GX and KOTOR are close runners up.

I only picked Mario Kart Double Dash instead of F-Zero GX because of the latter's unnecessary difficulty spike, especially in story mode.
