From the List Xevious, which was not a big game in the USA elsewhere it was very large and had a huge impact in Japan.

But easily My Favorite from the Year is Mr Do I have played that game more than any other game ever, 84's Do Run Run would perhaps be my 2nd most played gun

I love Mr Do.  It's probably my favorite arcade game.

Dig Dug is my favorite here. Great arcade classic

Pitfall, which I played as Konami Land on the MSX, called Athletic land in Japan

That music and those sound effects are part of my early memories, we played this game so much. Also because it was one of two games we got with the MSX initially. However this version didn't come out until 1984.

So I guess I have to say MS Flightsimulator which I didn't get into until 3.0, yet eventually inspired me to explore the entire world

Although Pole position got me into racing games, Joust we played a lot, 2 player in DOS behind the keyboard together and Dig Dug was a big favorite as well.

Let's not kid ourselves, people. We all know exactly what the most culturally impactful game of 1982 was. For all the wrong reasons, it was definitely E.T.: the game that, more so than any other, nearly destroyed the Western console gaming market.

As to what '82 game I enjoyed the most (which is usually different from the most culturally impactful one), I have to give that to Cute Bert. There are some close runners-up for me though. Namely both Pitfall and Donkey Kong Jr., which I liked better than the original for letting me play as the "bad guy" in a sense. I can get into that sort of thing.

Dig Dug

Remember playing it all the time alongside Bomberman and Donkey Kong/Jr for the NES back in the early 1990s on my cousins' NES.

Starting to get a lot of competition. For me Pitfall because graphics. The 2600 shouldn’t be able to do graphics like that :)

Dig Dug is the one I played and enjoyed the most.

Utopia... or BurgerTime.

Zaxxon should have been mentioned in the other choices section it is better known and was ported to more consoles than Pengo.
