AT LAST!!!!

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Around the Network

Finally!

Gonna be great to take my ol' pal for a spin again, just like old times.

This was right up there with Crash, Spyro, and Banjo as one of my most beloved games of its generation.

Switch version looks a LOT better than I thought it would! I mean, 1080p 60fps shouldn't be hard for a remaster of a near 30 year old game lol, but I'm gonna be double dipping on Switch and PC. The original game comes with the PC version for free. It's tweaked to still be able to run on modern PCs, but it's still the original ISO. So if you got a Windows 95 PC somewhere, you can play this again!

THAT'S game preservation!

29? That's more than I expected especially compared the TR trilogy.

It's about what I was expecting. That seems to be the remaster sweet spot pricing these days. The TR trilogy did have the financial backing of Saber/Embracer, but this is also Argonaut's first game since re-opening. Don't know what kind of finances they have, but they went the extra mile of including interviews, all development art starting at concept, classic and modern remixes of the soundtrack, as well as cool memorabilia from the original games release that they're dubbing "Crocipedia" built right into the game.

Remastering the second game will be dependent on how well this game performs.

Great to see the Switch version is decent! Will be grabbing it for sure, though god knows when I'll find the time to play it with the way my backlog is getting.

I've been trying to clean house before Switch 2 comes out and monopolizes my playtime.

I always thought croc and gek were the same game lol

I forgot about Croc Remaster! Put this on the wishlist. This was the first PS1 game I ever played.

Bought it and took it for a spin. (heh)

On Switch at least, it's terrific. Resolution is high, framerate is smooth, the updated controls are a huge improvement, and the updated visuals looks great while remaining faithful to the look of the original game.

Nice trip down memory lane, recommended to anyone who remembers it fondly, or just anyone who likes old school platformers.
