Avowed looks kind of rough graphically if I'm being honest, I expected more, especially after we heard they had switched from Unreal 4 to Unreal 5. Never expected Compulsion to pull off better graphics on Project Midnight than Obisidian on Avowed. Gameplay and art design look good on Avowed though, overall I'm still quite hyped for it.

Avowed is definitely Pillars of Eternity based, (The Living Lands is a region from Pillars), it looks asthetically very close too, but with a lot of bright neon objects similar to The Outer Worlds. It also kinda reminds me of Ultima if that was made as a modern RPG, like they attempted recently with Underwolrd Ascendant.

Yah I had the same reaction. I think it will end up being great because of Obisdian/story etc.. But graphically it was not that pretty (still very excited for it as I'm really looking for GamePlay in RPG more)

Oh shit, now I have to buy Flight Simulator just to fly a Dune thopter.

I am still baffled by Ninja Theory using such heavy chromatic aberration on Hellblade 2, same as the last time they showed it off at Game Awards 2021. Such heavy chromatic aberration makes everything look fuzzy, not a fan of that look at all, really hope it can be disabled on console and not just on PC.

I'm also a bit letdown that there is still no gameplay, I want to see the game in action, not just story trailers.

The youtube stream is really struggling for me now, missed that whole Like a Dragon 8 trailer.

Yes, there seem to be lightning issues, the color palette is also different from what the first teaser led me to believe. Still looks great overall though.

I think other than Starfield, it is very unlikely. Look like they are packing so many games, no real time to show gameplay that would make any sense in such a short time probably (that's my take).

I'm really fine with what I see so far, important part I think for Microsoft is to show that "games" are coming (quantity) to shut down the "Xbox has no games...".
They are showing some serious line up.

We can get gameplay later :)

Avowed is pretty much the only first party game to show in-game footage so far. Rest were just in-engine cinematics.
