Just beat FFXVI, that last stretch was quite the emotionally exhausting ride. I really enjoyed it though, despite its flaws. I’d be interested to see if they release any story DLC in the future.

For me the game doesn't need a DLC since it covered all that needed, the only slightly open thread was the mention of Leviathan.

I damn near bawled at the cutscene before the final dungeon/boss.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Yeah, they already mentioned the game is meant to be a complete story in one game.

I'm now playing Crisis Core, what a damn fine game that I missed on PSP.

Bruh, I just started Crisis Core last night too Beat Chapter 2 of Intermission on FFVII Remake, happy with the number of achievements I got, shut it down, launched CC lol.

What a massive downgrade visually compared to Remake lol, but I was completely expecting that since it was a Remaster. I kept giving myself potions thinking I was pressing the dodge button, but they're different from Remake to CC Reunion. So the controls took a lot of getting used to. The little slot machine running at all times during combat is a bit jarring since you have to keep an eye on it for when you get a good roll for a bonus. But I'm really enjoying it so far!

At least the in-game menus are similar to Remake so there is some continuity.

Crisis Core was damn amazing.

I remember playing it on the PSP back when it first released - was sad to finish the game.

Will get the remaster in the future when its down on a good sale discount of course.

I'm likely gonna get FFXVI first though.

Crisis Core is decent but a bit too fanfiction in the story. Genesis is the worst FF character to ever exist. He's so fucking cringe and he was created in the peak emo mid-2000s era. It makes sense in a way as it wasn't that far removed from Advent Children which was bad but played right into a lot of the tropes CC does. Tho it's a decent romp and short. I did finish it twice on PS5 when in a FF mood leading up to FF16. I could never finish it on PSP. Remaster plays better.

I consider it to be very acceptable graphically but yes the FF7R is much above it.
