I'm not going to say no to the GoW trilogy, especially with how they announced it. TC Carson showing up and presenting was incredible. Granted, I'd prefer SMS were working on other stuff rather than a remake (especially when the original PS2 games are so good), but I'm excited nonetheless.

GoW:SOS being announced finally is great news. But honestly, should've been a Betrayal remake with all this content added in as an interquel game before GoW2. I'm just finding it hard to relate spartan kids taking on boss battles and whatnot like that. I think it's a very missed opportunity. But whatever, if it leads to a Betrayal remake, I'll take it.

TC Carson, being the og Kratos, blew my mind. He went from living single to voicing Kratos.

I’ve got a theory: GoW Trilogy Remake is the FFVII Remake of PS6. Also, being developed by Santa Monica is… interesting. Hoping the next mainline entry isn’t too far away.

My theory is that when they realized the possibilities of pushing back the ps6 release date were real (this happening last year) they knew they needed something to boost the PS5 in it's 7th, 8th or even 9th year and they went the GOW way. The idea of a GOW remake for me was unreal, the rumors came from your average youtuber, Santa Monica was already full of work and BP was making a service. In my mind the GOW remake or even doing something with Bloodborne would be kept for an emergency and yeah the price of parts is an emergency of its own.

You see, that's a solid theory. I'm hoping that's what this is. Hearing that this is early in development, however, doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence that this will be a PS5 release. But who knows! Could be that Sony is downplaying development progress... for whatever reason.

Actually I believe they saw the requests when the 20th anniversary celebrations began, and were finally conviced it was worth it to push a remake for at least the main trilogy.

I actually believe fans were a big part of it becoming a reality. They are even tweeting fans asking for it in trade for their lives now, as in to say their are doing the part of the deal.

It was probably an idea that became reality when they saw the fans clamouring for it, which is awesome.

Feels like Sonic movie redesign after fans asking for it online.

My thoughts is that since this is still early in development, it seems to me the obvious reason for this happening is to not waste the assets from Bluepoint on their cancelled GoW MP game, which was using the Greek setting.

It's great to see the growth of Housemarque, Arrowhead, and Ember Labs under PlayStation.

I'm glad that Sony is continuing to partner up with Ember Labs especially.

And so the rumors of Cory's game targeting to release next year begin.

If they manage to release Intergalactic and Cory's game in the same year that would be awesome.

To me Cory's game will be the TGA last reveal this year, and release within 6 months max after it, so around June.

Intergalactic should be their 2017 holiday game, so Octorber is my prediction.

And yeah, that would make quite an insane year, is both are as high quality as the last Santa Monica and Naughty Dog games were.

I have a hard time believing Sony would do a 6 month reveal to launch timeline for a new AAA game from Cory Barlog. If his game is coming 2027, it'll be announced at SGF or the May-June SOP in a few months.
