How accurate are the trophy percentages?

Looking at the DMC5 trophies list - looks like only 21% finished Mission 18 (which I'm assuming is either the last mission or prior to the last mission).

So that means only 21% people got to the end of DMC5 SE? That seems....way too low.

58% for OG DMC5 on PS4.

Thats still low imo.

Do people just not finish games they start?

That would be really cool. I have never doubt about the quality of Forza but if MS can release a simulation game, then an arcade game in spans of 2 years why Sony can't? Polyphony takes forever to make games, it's time for something extra specially when Forza just moved 1.5 million units of PS5.

Whatever it is I hope is something sony ends up owning, a change I would like to be part of this soft rebuilding that is happening inside PS is to own more things that they pay for. The People Can Fly game is a good start.

I can see Polyphony releasing another Gran Turismo game before this generation ends.

If the economy improves, FY 2026 with almost a whole year of GTA6 should be massive for Playstation.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, for FY25 Sony forecasts a gaming revenue decrease of 8%, and an operating incoming increase of 16%. Their previous forecast for FY24 underestimated the revenue by 10%, and operating income by 22%. But they significantly overestimated hardware sales in the year before.

I could see Sony being a bit conservative for hardware because of the unpredictability with tariffs. But at worst, I think GTA6 in FY26 will ensure that the drop from FY25 is relatively flat.

Sucks that they aren't obligated to update us about Astro, Helldivers and other franchises in general. The lack of flex bothers me lol.

May wanna get used to that lol. Sony's CFO announced they're no longer focusing on "sell-in units" and instead focusing on "engagement" and "MAU"

Also said a PS5 price hike may be imminent. Although they are thinking about moving PS manufacturing to the US.

Yep. I've completed 5-6 games over the last 3 years. Probably started around 20. A lot of people just have other priorities and in the time that is alotted for games competition is tough... I give up on many games not because they're bad but because I can see a better use for my time unless the game is really moving me.

I have about 4-5 gaming hours per week. That would probably be 7-8 if I didn't procrastinate on the internet so much lol

Thats understandable.

I'm wondering if these statistics would affect a publisher's decision whether to greenlight a sequel or another game within that franchise.

Wonder if that may be the reason why we havent seen a new Devil May Cry game since 2019 (that isnt a port or a remaster I mean) from Capcom.

Oh there was that one mobile jank spinoff that was released in the 2020s but eh...

18 is the final mission. I don't have the SE editon just the original on PS4, but I finished every mission with everyone even Virgil. I didn't do Bloody Palace. That's for sickos. Also, keep in mind a lot of DMC fans play these games on the highest difficulties and like not to use gold orbs. The final boss is pretty tough.

Strange, the achievement shows

Looked up OG DMC5 and it has the same trophy.

Also I'm confused about the "Nero, Dante or V" in the message for the trophies. The same wording is in the prologue trophy for Special Edition but not regular - but from what I played, hows it possible to play anyone outside of Nero in the prologue, maybe I'll get a option later on in the game but seems strange.

Oh shit maybe I am mistaken. I play a lot of action games so I may be mixing some up. That said, Nero, Dante, or V. Some chapters let you choose.

Yeah me too, they took 5 years between Sport and 7 but the pandemic didn't help so I don't expect for them to take more than that for the next one and even if they take 5 years again the game should still be released for ps5.
